“I went there yesterday and had my partner and newborn in the car while I ordered, the middle aged woman at the counter was so friendly and kind taking my order. I told her I’d sit in my car while it was being cooked, when it was ready she walked it right to our car because we were too busy with the fussy baby! I can’t tell you how sweet that gesture was when we were already having a busy hectic day and trying to get a nice quick meal. I will absolutely be coming back here for any pizza! “I usually don’t care for Carusos because of the lack of flavor. But I was meeting some clients, and this is where they wanted to meet. My experience was pleasant. This one in Coeur d’Alene is a little smaller than the one in Spokane but very convenient right of of I90. I had the club sandwich and it was decent. I have had better sub sandwiches but this was worth the money and tasted fine.”

“The pizza was just ok. The dough is made "on-site" but it appears pre-made which makes for subpar quality and pricy for what you're paying for. Tried the Loaded Hawaii and the Sweet Bee. Neither were anything to write home about. Both versions of wings sucked. The bone-in had decent flavor but were like rubber. The boneless were soggy and although fully cooked needed to remain in the fryer to firm them up. The Italian sandwich was probably the best item ordered. It had good flavor, a decent amount of fillings and the bread tasted great. The green salad was minimal. They charge "extra" for dressing and by extra I mean the amount you'd need to enjoy two orders of wings and a salad. The dressing is not your typical delicious diner style ranch so save your money on the "extra". Staff were friendly which is always a plus.”

“Oh my gosh. I’ve heard about this place before but I’ve never been. Grilled cheese to me are lazy cook days so you grill up a quick grilled cheese and some condensed tomato soup for the kids and call it good. What can be so special about a grilled cheese right?!?! Well this little hole in the wall attached to a gas station place has forever changed my perception of the potential of a grilled cheese/toasted cheese sandwich. I got the Korean clucker and there was so much on it. It was a bit intimidating but wow every single bite was packed full of flavor. My partner got the Cuban which was absolutely mouth watering my delicious. We also got some of the house made chips which were some of the best I’ve ever had and a side of some spicy artichoke dip. I left feeling a little uncomfortable I was so full. I can see why everyone loves this place!”

“Can't say enough good things about this place! From the get-go the staff was very welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Our order was taken immediately upon entering and was ready soon after. I ordered a cheeseburger with pickles and onions and my husband had a hamburger with pickles and onions. There must be something special about the meat for their patties because they were juicy, tender, and overall INCREDIBLE. Afterward, we shared a slice of DELICIOUS chocolate pie. The cost of eating here is incredibly low compared to most eateries nowadays. Our total was just over $10 for the two burgers and pie. Also, they only accept cash but have an ATM in the back if needed. We've walked by this place countless times and I'm glad we finally got to try it. We can't wait to go back!”

“Came to town for a Football game with my sons and decided on Pizza. With different ideas of which is good, the three of us decided on the 24" pepperoni. This New York style pie had the right amount of sauce and the crust was delicious. I am surprised I could only eat one slice since my appetite was pretty big. “I will round up to 4 stars but would probably give River City 3.5 if I could. My pizza was loaded with cheese and that kind of took away from the toppings and sauce on the Cowboy. The crust was of a decent flavor and although it probably could have been cooked a little more, I enjoyed the doughiness. For the price I expected more. The overall experience wasn't great, but it was good. The staff took my order over the phone and they were very pleasant when I showed to pick up my order. Not sure I will try again.”

“I was very excited to try this business. Food was good but way undersized portions for a regular meal. A meatloaf dinner somewhere else for 14.00 would typically have two to three slices of meatloaf. I placed a small fork in one of the pictures for portion reference. Mashed potatoes portion was fine but brussel sprouts also undersized. This is not a viable option when we can go and pick up from somewhere like Cracker Barrel for less money and far more food. As I said, food was good but both my son and I are still hungry. We got a milk shake when we picked up food. Really excellent, BUT $10.00. Sadly, we won't return.”
