“Stopped by the Breakfast House early and this crew was ready! The restaurant has a very spacious interior with lots of tables, and the service here was great. We ordered the Eggs Benedict (pictured) a stack of Buttermilk Pancakes (pictured), and an iced coffee. Everything was truly delicious! “There was a lot of speculation with this location as to whether or not it would succeed dealt the already congested harlem Ave and busy intersection at harlem and addison. After being in this location multiple times , I can say this location works very very well. It's not too crowded , the traffic isn't a nightmare and the staff is top notch. This is the epitome of how a neighborhood starbucks should be ran. It fits this area like a glove and is a treat to all the locals that frequent this location regularly like myself. “Carby eats has been a lifesaver. I was looking for a meal prep service that served foods that I actually like just in a healthier way! Other meal prep services just had chicken and rice for meal preps, which I didn’t want. The greatest thing about Carby eats is there variety of a menu and their ordering options. I order a lot of food from them and their quick customer service allows me to try new foods on their menu when I get tired of one item on their menu. “I will start this review with the caveat that on this particular evening the Macaroni and Cheese was very thin and soupy. Upon it coming out, the lady behind the counter began to stir it and we both noticed it immediately, then both looked at each other. We both understood it wasn't supposed to be that way, we both exchanged smiles about it, and she joked, "it's still good though!" Now, let me start with the egg rolls which literally could've been a meal by themselves because of how massive they were. These are not your run of the mill sized egg rolls, and understand that just 2, would be enough to satisfy as a stand alone meal. Loved the cheese pull on them. The shrimp tacos were good, I would've liked more Jerk sauce cooked on them, instead of me needing to add to them. The Catfish was more grilled than the fried I ordered, but the onion medley served on top more than made up for that with the flavor burst out gave each bite. The Cabbage was not bland, the red beans and rice was hidden under the Catfish which gave added flavor, but I'll have to go again for the Mac and cheese, as that night was a miss for me.”

“China Wok is my go-to Chinese restaurant. They have lunch and dinner specials that include an entrée, fried rice, and an eggroll. First, let's talk about the eggrolls. Chicago Chinese restaurants are better than any others that I've had in the nation for one simple rule that China Wok adheres to - a little bit of peanut butter in the eggroll. Not a lot, just enough to add flavor and to give the filling that perfect, drool inducing, consistency. China Wok makes my favorite eggrolls in the city. I used to be a huge fan of Pekin House on Devon because of the peanut butter in the eggrolls, and I was SO sad when they closed. China Wok satisfies those eggroll cravings though, so much so that I sometimes stop there just for two to get my fix. The lunch/dinner specials are packed with food. I can easily split one special between me and my daughter. My go-to entrees are Orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, Mongolian Beef, Andy's lo mein, and the Kung Pao Chicken. All of these items are super tasty, and the fried chicken pieces in the orange and General Tso chicken are meaty without TOO much breading. The rice is really good too. Even when I order delivery everything comes nice and fresh with my Orange chicken saucy, but still crispy. I usually call the restaurant for delivery, and they typically have it to my house within the hour. Last time I picked up the parking lot was kind of full, but there was someone dressed like Pikachu dancing across the street, so that was cool. The man and woman that are usually working are very sweet. One time they forgot something in my order, and credited my account. I forgot the next time I ordered, but they didn't. They sent the extra item without me even asking.”
