There was hardly any cake in there. My son's birthday cake was overwhelmingly sweet.. with again - 70% frosting. I'm so discouraged to go back again. Sad.”

It would be nice to know they stay stocked at least to get til a few hours before they close. I understand them not wanting to have waste, but they can always sell day old and fresh. They would still run out if they did that. I've been told their donuts come pre made and frozen. Not sure how true, but if that is true, there is no reason to run out”

“A nice place for a decent breakfast, lunch or dinner - you can get pancakes, sausages, omelettes, sandwiches, roasts, and chicken meals plus more. May not be the most healthy of meals but does well for me. But, the place is well known for it's pies - pumpkin, pecan, cherry and much much more. If you get pies for Thanksgiving, make sure you make a reservation as certain pies won't be available without a reservation. I got my reservation for a pumpkin pie fulfilled but a lady ahead of me didn't make a reservation and wasn't able to buy one. Granted, their pies aren't the best but they are decent. If I wanted better, I'll go to a local bakery, but Bakers Square is, as I said before, decent. Service tends to be decent to good, staff is helpful and doesn't so the hard on food items, maybe except for pie for dessert. Furnishings are alright but may need see modernizing. Plenty of parking in the back - leave the front parking for the handicapped and older folks, please.”

“Highly inconsistent with food choices (cafeteria style). Money gram station hours are a joke....never open on time, and closes early whenever they choose. Sad. Needs VAST improvements if they expect their business to survive. For instance, first, they close their fresh meat/fish counter around June 2017 and offer nothing in it's place. Then they stopped offering produce since around May 2018 and now stock cans of soda instead. Frankly, they're going to end up a take-out place in a few years. Their grocery selection is overpriced and hit-or-miss with their stock. On multiple occasions (on accident), we bought expired chips. Do they bother to check? Nope.”

“I stopped in here for breakfast with a couple of business partners in January 2019. I was able to walk to the restaurant from the Metra Park Ridge train station easily. There is also a parking garage underneath with lots of parking available. When I got there for breakfast around 8 AM on a Wednesday, the restaurant was almost completely empty and I was seated right away. The staff was courteous, patient, and very helpful when ordering. We ordered a variety of food after the breakfast menu and everything was good but not quite five stars. Coffee was excellent as well;they even leave a pot at the table. Restroom was clean. A nice spot to stop and eat.”

“This is our go to place for some delicious homemade breakfast comfort food! Their coffee is perfect, and breakfast is always on excellent! Amazing biscuits and gravy, they also have phenomenal corned beef and hash. Can’t leave out their baked Dutch apple pancakes either!! We will never stop going to this magical place. The owner is always happy and singing, very attentive to his surroundings, and I love that he makes sure the staff is on point! I’ve worked as a server, so it’s refreshing to see how he wants the staff to work as a team.”
