“Highly inconsistent with food choices (cafeteria style). Money gram station hours are a joke....never open on time, and closes early whenever they choose. Sad. Needs VAST improvements if they expect their business to survive. For instance, first, they close their fresh meat/fish counter around June 2017 and offer nothing in it's place. Then they stopped offering produce since around May 2018 and now stock cans of soda instead. Frankly, they're going to end up a take-out place in a few years. Their grocery selection is overpriced and hit-or-miss with their stock. On multiple occasions (on accident), we bought expired chips. Do they bother to check? Nope.”

“I'll start by saying I think I ordered the wrong thing. I sat at the counter and had the prime rib hash with eggs over easy. It was seasoned nicely, the potatoes were done well, generous ratio of meat to potato, but there was a lot of fatty chunks in the mix and the lean meat chunks were kind of tough, i.e. stringy. I know prime rib is very fatty so that was to be expected, but I was disappointed in how overcooked the meat was to the point of being tough. I would probably not have bothered giving it a review, but for the eggs... They were over easy eggs but had a runny white and probably a raw yolk inside. I love warm, runny yolks but uncooked egg whites is a little gross to me. I've never had over easy eggs with uncooked whites. I didn't complain at the time as I was starving and I can tolerate a lot when I'm that hungry. No complaints on the service. The staff were courteous and checked in with me from time to time. I do believe the the management is actively interested in serving good food. The manager was at the window a lot checking the appearance of what was being served. The restaurant is comfortable...clean and airy. I would eat there again. Just steer clear of the prime rib hash and make sure you specify the whites are cooked through if you order eggs over easy.”

“We were planning to spend a quiet evening at home for our anniversary but circumstances worked against us. Without a plan, or reservations, we decided to try out Make Room for Truman expecting to have a quick bite and go right back home. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is sleek and modern without being fussy. The food is top notch yet reasonably priced. And the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. My wife had the prime rib. It was cooked perfectly and had a cup of real horseradish on the side - not that creamy, watered down stuff. I originally intended to have prime rib too but changed my mind when I saw the beef short rib on the menu. All I can say about that is wow. It was like a dessert for beef lovers. Drinks were generously poured. My wife ordered the smoked old fashioned. She said it was the best she’s ever had. For dessert we split the chocolate velvet cake with house made raspberry ice cream. OMG! We now have a new favorite neighborhood restaurant. Can’t wait to go back.”

“I stopped in here for breakfast with a couple of business partners in January 2019. I was able to walk to the restaurant from the Metra Park Ridge train station easily. There is also a parking garage underneath with lots of parking available. When I got there for breakfast around 8 AM on a Wednesday, the restaurant was almost completely empty and I was seated right away. The staff was courteous, patient, and very helpful when ordering. We ordered a variety of food after the breakfast menu and everything was good but not quite five stars. Coffee was excellent as well;they even leave a pot at the table. Restroom was clean. A nice spot to stop and eat.”
