Northfield serves typical diner fare, and in a rare move, leads the menu off with lunch food instead of breakfast items (back page). At peak, you'll wait about 15-20 minutes to get a table. The knock on this place is that there's really no place to wait where you're not in the way. The wait staff know everyone who comes in, a sign that there are many regulars.”

Directions are clear and steps are easy to bake at home. Crust is soft and tasty. Sauce is rather bland. Cookies taste almost like brownies and need to cook at a different temperature from the pizzas so prepare for that in advance.”

The food was ready on my arrival and had clearly been freshly prepared. The food was still warm, even though I was a few minutes late. I had the turkey & brie "stacked", which was very nice but I think I'll ask for no apple next time as I think it wasn't quite right. I also had the lamb "foldable" which was excellent. My only criticism is that it was quite small, but the ingredients were all of good quality and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!”
