“It’s a bit of a wait but totally worth it. I pre-ordered about 5 days early because I have to drive a bit to get there and wanted to try their bagel of the month. Pickup was 10am it was ready by 10:15, and the food was absolutely amazing. Just finished bagel number two and pretty sure I can’t move for the next couple hours lol! Update: As you can see from the response to this review, the staff and folks here are forever amazing and kind, and it makes any wait for their amazing food worth it!”

“This bakery is amazing! Anything you get here will blow you away. My partner’s old roommate is from France, and this is the only place in the entire Chicagoland area where she’d eat bread from. I can’t recommend to go to this place enough. The staff is also so kind and helpful! I accidentally forgot a baguette as my hands were full of other amazing pastries and sandwiches. I gave them a call, told them what happened and 15 minutes later I was able to get my forgotten and well enjoyed baguette. An amazing place that I tell all my friends to go to!”

With Covid they’ve stopped taking phone orders to pick up, so I either have to order through DoorDash and pay the fees or wait in line with people all over the sidewalk through their slow process. They need to figure out a better solution than having people line the sidewalk and wait 30+ minutes to grab a bagel.”

“The food never disappoints here, from a full brunch to a quick lunch date I've enjoyed every meal here. My favorites is definitely the fried chicken sandwich and the mac and cheese is always great. Service can be a bit hit or miss but never in a bad way if that makes sense. Usually they are just so busy that a server might take a little longer than usual to come check up on you or bring your drinks a bit late. They're still great and I can't fault them too badly.”

“If you want feel like you're taking a day trip to Paris without leaving Chicago, Maison Marcel is the place. This is a lovely space. Fresh flowers, French House Music playing in the background, light and airy atmosphere. I see why the IG crowd take photos here. I had the spinach omelet, salad, roasted potatoes, chocolate almond croissant and mocha latte from here (shared all with a friend). Everything was delicious! Maison Marcel is a really nice, relaxing place for lunch or brunch. Good food, great atmosphere.”
