“There is such an intimate vibe at The Walrus Room. Each table has its own "spotlight" while everywhere else feels darkened. It set quite a romantic mood, in my opinion. The dinner menu wasn't overly complicated and each of the entrees were described well. We started with the relish tray - awesome! Love the salty, herb-y pickled varieties. For dinner, my scallops were buttery and the side portions of lardons and apples added a special flavor (how did they dice those Granny Smiths so small!) My husband commented that his Amish chicken was one of the best-tasting roast chicken dishes he's ever had. Perfect texture and the oyster mushrooms were delicious. I saved room for dessert (bread pudding). The service was wonderful. Answered all our questions easily and were very friendly without being overly attentive. When we mentioned we were celebrating some special events that night, we were provided complimentary glasses of champagne! A toast to you, Walrus Room! Thank you for a lovely evening. We'll definitely share our good experience with others.”

“They smoke their own meats! Used to love the lamb burger they had here but they dropped it from the menu. But try the smoked brisket or their sausages, fantastic. Had the mac and cheese side, it was tasty but didn't notice it was not baked so no crust on top. Just macaroni with cheese sauce, nothing special. I would suggest the sweet potato fries instead as a side, these are great. Also had the charred broccoli, but not fond of charred vegetables so asked for no char. They will make it for you however you like if you ask them. I think they steamed my order, it was just right. Had the Bourbon Mule, very good. So easy to overeat here, make sure to request a take-home box and enjoy it again tomorrow :)”
