“it’s my first time here and my sister and i loved it! great atmosphere and very friendly server. the place looks so cute and it’s inside the mall, which is very convenient! we started off with a jaws and melona punch, which was non alcoholic which is rare to find in the area. the food was also very good. we had the curly fries and they were very crispy and came with honey mustard! the chicken was also very tender and crunchy. the ddeokbokki was very chewy and came with dumplings to dip it in the sauce. i would highly recommend coming here!!”

“For the area, I definitely recommend. They are still fairly new, so things are a little slower when it gets super busy but the steak nachos were amazing! They seasoned the steak very well. For the tacos, overall great flavor. It was hard to eat since it was a single shell taco, but I have to say their steak taste the best. One thing not pictured is the burrito. We got the shrimp fajita burrito which was good, the tortilla they used tasted amazing but broke easily. Definitely recommend to try this place overall. They also give chips and salsa when dining in! Staff is nice as well.”

“Recently changed from previous Fodraks . Gyro still very yummy. Fries are below average. Gyro sandwich, fries and drink $14.50. Kitchen is open and although the customers appeared to be white Americans, I'm fluent in Spanish and the cooks were mega vulgar and talking behind everyone's back. Loudly. I'd give 4 stars if it wasn't for that. Reply to company response EDIT: Thank you for the response and so quick! I appreciate you reaching out to the kitchen, Spanish is very everyday now so they should be careful. The fries were luke warm, unsalted and mushy. Possibly some enjoy that, but I prefer at least a little salt and some crisp. Gyro was delicious! Thanks again!”

“Always good! Been eating there for over 30 years. Their food is diverse, the restaurant is clean, the staff is polite. For some reason, it seems individuals are marking some of these locations as closed, when they are not. That's unfortunate! Bathrooms are always spotless, and like I always say in my reviews, clean bathrooms, clean kitchen! My wife's bacon waffle was as good as it usually is, and my bacon avocado omelette with onions and cheese in the potatoes and wheat toast also was just as good as ever. And, the portions are large.”

“Excellent service! Even better food. We stopped in to celebrate my husband’s first Father’s Day brunch- everything was seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were especially delicious. We were more than satisfied. Our hostess/waitress was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. We loved their push to support local Illinois wineries. They also have a great mix of foreign wines. We’re really looking forward to coming back to try more food and delicious wines. I highly recommend it!”

Ambiance is fantastic… 20’s music in background… not too loud, could hear everything from across the table no issues… switched between recordings and live performances seamlessly to the point almost didn’t notice! Dark, quaint, period decor. Definitely a unique, interesting and enjoyable experience. “I had tried the cake from here. But was not a regular. That has definitely change. I get my birthday cakes here now. I like that they have different size cakes. The phrase "good things come in small packages". The flavor in one bite is all you need. As you savor the delicious smoothness ond flavor. My two favorites are the tiramisu and the cheesecake. Can definitely see why they are a little pricier than store bought. The friendlyness of the staff is great, makes you feel like family.”

“I stopped by for a Hawaiian bowl, Power house bowl, and one of each of the soups. The food was all fantastic. The meat had a good flavorful sear but was still juicy. I would say the seaweed soup was slightly better than the miso soup, but you won’t go wrong with either. The food was a tremendous value for the price. The sauces, vegetables, meat and rice were well balanced and the flavors worked together really well. The owner, a charming young man local to the area is hard at work in the kitchen and serving his guests. He was kind and helpful. I kept eating until I was overstuffed and still continued to pick the remaining meat out despite the pain it caused to continue eating. It’s a wonderful lunch option and adds something new, unique and very tasty. The restaurant is nicely designed and very clean. The kitchen which is visible from the cash wrap is spotless. The music is at an enjoyable level for you to hear the music yet also be able to converse with your table mates. I don’t know what else I can say, but it was good enough for me to write a dissertation on it.”

“Living in the area, I’m always on the lookout for a good sushi restaurant. I have a couple that I go to, and they are good enough to satiate me. This place though. The ambience is beautiful. The wood and gold is just so pretty. The lights are low enough to be romantic, but not dim enough that you can’t see what you’re eating. There is also a second floor that would be perfect for a girls night out. Secluded and private. The fish. You come to a sushi place for the fish. It was exceptional here. It was so buttery and smooth. I couldn’t stop eating it. And I wasn’t even sorry I didn’t share. The cuts were generous and thick. I was told the chef goes every morning to pick out the fish, and you can tell. It is top notch. The spicy tuna maki was so damn delicious. I didn’t take a picture because we ate it too fast. Next time! The dumplings could be a meal of their own. Juicy meat filling dunked in a chili sauce that juuuuuuust leaves a tingle on your tongue. Fabulous!! I wouldn’t say it’s the best family restaurant. The space is small and intimate. Perfect for date nights and girl friend dates!!! I will be back for carry out and date nights. I’m so glad it is so close to my house! It’s a great addition to Lincolnshire.”

“Great experience! The manager kindly offered a sample of ice cream to one of the kids in our party who had bumped her head on the way in and was crying. We got the lemon Italian ice, exhausted parent, and the blackberry lemon. The lemon Italian ice was somehow a creamy texture without having dairy, perfect for a hot sunny day as they have in the description. We all tried exhausted parent in a cookie sandwich form. The cookies have a bite to them, and they make the ice cream sandwich right in front of you. You can get any flavor as a sandwich. Exhausted parent is probably the best integration of the alcohol taste into an ice cream I've had, good flavor without the burn of alcohol. Everyone liked the blackberry lemon (especially the kids).”

“Here’s what you need to know: food was delicious, and service was very courteous despite the expected growing pains (food going to wrong tables, long delays in taking orders) but overall it’s a good new addition to the local restaurant scene in Highwood’s restaurant row and I would definitely recommend it. Ambiance is OK - very simple and a shared bathroom in the next door restaurant is less than ideal. Just be patient while this brand new week old restaurant figures out the kinks. Of course it’s a joy to support local small Business, one that is making good food. We enjoyed everything fr we ordered but the house bread and the shrimp gambas. The house bread needs an immediate change - it’s just not good. Which is a conflict with the other delicious food. The shrimp Gambas tastes like a bland cream sauce and that should be adjusted to an intense Spanish style sauce . Other than that the potatoes, octopus, meatballs, calamari were all excellent.
