“Grabbed take out from here tonight. Everything tasted great and the portions were big. The marinara with the lasagna was better then the meat sauce with the gnocchi however. Chicken marsala had plenty of mushrooms and the sauce was good. Stuffed mushrooms needed a little more seasoning so probably wouldnt order again, but will definitely be back.”

“Very nice place. Surprisingly larger inside than you would think. Good menu, prices are very comparable to restaurants in surrounding towns, and check out their ice cream items. Nice bar, separate room for slot machines within the bar. Two separate dining areas, one within the bar and the other across from the front desk. Parking could get tight but you can park in walking distance. Today we enjoyed a couple drinks at the bar and look forward to returning for a meal.”

“Stopped in for a beverage, thought I saw a ghostly apparition looking at me from an odd angle. Bartender told me it was the Ghost horse that frequents the establishment. Turns out Sam's is named after a horse that came the bar almost every day from 1906- till his death in 1914. Pros: Sweet ghost horse! Cons: Some might be scared of the ghost horse.”

“Great little diner in downtown Marengo. Went there for breakfast and was not disappointed. Good prices on items too. My only issue is the nearest bathroom is located in the bar section of the bldg. and there was a drunk dude trying to barge his way into the stall when it was in use. Definitely not a fault of the restaurant though!”
