“Had good atmosphere and staff was very nice. Had the 1/3 lb cheese burger. So did the wife. We enjoyed the burgers. With fries. They had a gentleman playing guitar for entertainment. We stayed a lot longer to enjoy the music. Had several more adult beverages. Server/ bartender didnt forget about us. Made sure we were taken care of. Bill was only $37.xx for the both of us. I didn't that was bad. Will be back.”

“For a Tuesday night, the place was packed. At 630, there was a wait. We had reservations since we were a larger party. The server was extremely attentive. Double checked orders to male sure they were all correct. Our party did not all come in together, and the server (N) was phenomenal. The food was amazing. Quite a few of our party ordered the special, a 7oz sirloin with salad and mashed potatoes. Others ordered pizzas, which were so good. I ordered the Chicken Modiga. Awesome fired pizza. Burger and wings were pretty typical. Met expectations. This has been a staple of my husband's family for years. They never disappoint.”

“Sunsets, good wine, and a sweet puppy. I enjoyed this place. I was able to bring my puppy and meet up with some friends on their patio. The atmosphere is lovely and the view of the sunset is perfect. I only stayed for appetizers but they were amazing, I reccommend the fried avocado and the beer cheese appetizers!”

“It was my first time there and I was unexpectedly surprised at not only the great atmosphere The friendly service by our server Cameron but the delicious food and the huge selection of different food. Will definitely tell all of my friends and family about this place. I was with my best friend coming from a candlelight vigil in Waterloo when on the way home she suggested we stop to eat because we hadn't eaten. I'm extremely glad we went everything was delicious and in our somber mood the staff we encountered made our experience there absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! Tween daughter couldn't finish her burger for gorging on sweet potato fries but reported that they were both excellent. Ice-cream was a big hit with the littles. Only minus was slow food delivery and runny mac and cheese. Will be back for meat based items especially.”

“Proving Ground Cafe is a wonderful coffee shop! My experience occurred on a Saturday morning trying to buy for three different people. The waitress was very friendly and helpful giving suggestions on flavors. I bought a honey lavender drink, cappuccino, and regular coffee. Mine was the coffee-fresh, hot, and delicious. The two others I bought for said the same. I didn't order food but saw the meals others ordered. They looked appetizing with large portions. I will be back for a meal. Proving Ground Cafe is a great asset to Columbia. This is my new go to for a high quality cup of coffee!”
