“Had good atmosphere and staff was very nice. Had the 1/3 lb cheese burger. So did the wife. We enjoyed the burgers. With fries. They had a gentleman playing guitar for entertainment. We stayed a lot longer to enjoy the music. Had several more adult beverages. Server/ bartender didnt forget about us. Made sure we were taken care of. Bill was only $37.xx for the both of us. I didn't that was bad. Will be back.”

“For a Tuesday night, the place was packed. At 630, there was a wait. We had reservations since we were a larger party. The server was extremely attentive. Double checked orders to male sure they were all correct. Our party did not all come in together, and the server (N) was phenomenal. The food was amazing. Quite a few of our party ordered the special, a 7oz sirloin with salad and mashed potatoes. Others ordered pizzas, which were so good. I ordered the Chicken Modiga. Awesome fired pizza. Burger and wings were pretty typical. Met expectations. This has been a staple of my husband's family for years. They never disappoint.”

“My wife and i have ordered to go from here 3 times. We have had the sweet and sour chicken, shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, and dumplings. I gave it 5 stars because China King is everything i expect from Chinese takeout. - Easy ordering/fast service - Fresh made food that is good quality - Large portions/cheap prices. This is the best Chinese in town. Before China King came to town i had to drive all the way to Columbia to get decent Asian food or make it myself. I hope they stick around.”

The menu is much smaller and quite honestly not as good and the prices are a bit higher, but the sentiment of going here is similar. I travel in from St. Louis for a date night every once in a while after finding it one day after going to Eckerts. If there were more options on the menu I'd probably give a 4 or 5 star, but I still won't give up my favorite place to spend some time.”

“I ate lunch here today. Got the club sandwich and sweet potato fries. I eat out a lot because of my job. Gotta say that this was one of the best lunches I've had in a while. The quality of the meat on the sandwich, the Texas toast, etc. --- it was perfect. I love sweet potato fries, but these were beyond what I expected. Best I've ever had. Bonus: Before the meal my waitress (who was very nice and on top of things) bought out a couple of rolls and two kinds of butter - honey and strawberry. I'd never had strawberry butter before. Oh my! Phenomenal!!! I walked in not knowing what to expect and I walked out thrilled knowing that I found a great new restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend it.”

“Sunsets, good wine, and a sweet puppy. I enjoyed this place. I was able to bring my puppy and meet up with some friends on their patio. “My husband and I traveled out here on a whim. I was searching for restaurants that serve black forest cake and found Dreamland Palace about half an hour away. The food is very good. My husband ordered the Dreamland platter, and I got the Schweineschnitzel. The food was hot and plentiful. The mushroom gravy on the schnitzel is especially tasty. There's a salad and soup bar outside the main dining room, which was a nice accompaniment to the entrees. I ordered the black forest cake to go, and it is huge! Very beautifully prepared; extremely delicious. Both Derrick and Aaron provided attentive, friendly service. We'll be happy to come back again.”

Check the boards behind the bar for the most up to date drink options since they change with the seasons. The food options are all really good. The pizza is from the brick oven so you know it's good. And if you just want to watch sports and eat a dog they got you covered. TVs in every direction make it easy to catch a game and shuffleboard is always there if you need it. The building is beautiful, the courtyard is well maintained and great for a calm nights drink, and the staff is always great to be around! Thanks for being a staple in Waterloo!”
