“"Everything we got is fried," the hostess kindly explained. They make their own breading, and sell bags of it in their shop. "Everything you'd need for your fish fry" Cute place that is an actual fish market with some outdoor seating (which is pretty much right on South Grand--a main drag through town). I waited quite a while for my friend catfish strips, fried okra, and corn fritters (also fried), but once it arrived it was great. The breading was perfect- not too heavy and the crispy, slightly gritty texture perfectly complimented the fresh fish. Fish : 5/5 Corn fritters: 4/5 Okra: skip it”

“Delicious gastro pub a block from the Lincoln house. Set in 2 old historic homes, the food was delicious, the beer was excellent (my wife loved the strawberry seasonal ale). Even the kids meal was hand crafted. My only gripe is the Asian Chicken Crisp wrap was so delicious I wanted it to have more filling because I couldn't stop eating it. Must try when you visit the Lincoln home in downtown Springfield.”

“I went here 2 days in a row while visiting Springfield and it was a great choice. My first day I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a latte, which were very tasty. I sat and relaxed in the cafe for a while and watched the farmers market outside. The second day I was in more of a rush and just wanted my drink; I went in to find it bustling and everyone very busy. Despite this, the person I assume to be the manager, as well as two others employees recognized me immediately and remembered my drink order without even asking. They made it as soon as they could so that I didn’t have to wind through the food line. I was really impressed. Good stuff, guys. Keep it going.”
