“I’ve been here twice. The first time was several weeks ago when patrons were only allowed outside seating. It was hot and our table did not have an umbrella but there was a nice breeze. I had the fried chicken sandwich and fries with coleslaw. It was filling and tasty, I could not eat all of it. The breading on the chicken was crisp. The fries were cooked well and crispy. All of the condiments were in packages. We had ice tea which was good. My dining partner, age 10, had a pony shoe which must have met standards because he ate most of it. The Barn had not been open long therefore only one waitress managed the outdoor space and I thought she did a great job. The second time I went alone and sat inside. Nice decor and spacing. There were two tv’s on the wall and thankfully were on silent but I didn’t mind having the distraction since I was alone. I had the roast beef sandwich which was delicious and I’ll definitely be ordering that again. It was perfectly cooked and the toasty bread matched it well. It didn’t have much horseradish sauce but the waitress (same, I can’t recall her name) brought me some more. The horseradish creamy sauce was so good I probably overindulged. I also had macaroni and cheese which was a large portion (I was surprised) but it lacked taste and I put plenty of pepper on it. I think the noodles were a tad over cooked making the texture off. The fries were good, I like mine more crispy (not as good as the first time) and they give you a lot, I had the Mac and cheese so didn’t eat many fries. I ate 100% of the roast beef. Going again soon to try breakfast!”

“We called ahead and were told it was a 15-20 minute wait. We waited an hour and a half to be seated. Multiple tables were empty, but not enough staff to clear tables. The hostess was trying to greet incomers and bus tables. We could have been sat 30 minutes into our wait had they had enough staff to bus the tables. Our server was AWESOME and paid great attention to our children and needs. Great food and beer, bus service needs upped for sure.”

“Went to get gas today. Internet and their big sign said $2.26. Prepaid $10.00 and went to pump and the pump had it at $2.49. Went back inside to say something and someone else was there too complaining. Manager came out and listened and said that she would give back the difference. I pumped 4 gallons total with the new price and went back in. This is a .23 difference x 4. That means that she was to give me .92 in return. Instead she gave me .80. And she acted like she was right even though I had already stated to her that it was .92. She stated, for future reference, that the pump is what they have to go by even though the big sign says otherwise. Very disappointed as I usually go to Thornton's because they are cheaper than anyone else.”

“FABULOUS! I ordered crab legs and shrimp and it came out in a steamer bag w/potatoes and a corn cob. I chose garlic butter as my sauce. As a courtesy they give you plastic gloves and a bib. Food is very similar to a low country boil that you get on vacation down on the Gulf. Kid friendly, casual, and very affordable. Can't wait to come back!”
