“Always friendly staff that goes above and beyond what I would expect from a low wage food job. Food has always tasted good. I'd personally recommend the Wisconsin Mac and cheese with grilled chicken and a side of the chicken noodle soup. The ambiance during the day is nice but I most recently visited after dark and there is some cool mood lighting that I normally would associate with "trendy" overpriced places. It was a nice change of pace.”

“This pizza place is like no other! They have you to choose more than a regular pizza place for toppings on their pizza. If you don’t want the crust then make a salad with all the toppings you can think of with so many different choices to add to it! It’s like walking into a Subway but for pizza’s. This was my third time and I made a different kind each time! If you like a thin crust with a crunch, this is the place! The cost is very affordable too! I’m sure I will go back in 3-4 weeks from now because I don’t want to get sick of it! The people working there are very friendly and patient with my choices because as you can see in my pictures, I had more than than a normal pizza!”

“I have never tried the tapas thing before. Looking at the menu, the prices were higher than I would normally do, however, we tried nearly all of the "small bites" and a couple of the pizzas and street tacos, and for round two we tried almost the entire dessert menu. Simply amazing. While I am an extremely pick eater, there was not one thing I did not like. And everyone that goes here must try the salted caramel gelato. Wow. We will definitely be back here soon.”

“We were here with a group of 8, and the food was far less expensive than expected, and the sushi was really great. The hibachi grill food was also quite good. The only downsides are that the tables are very long and wide, so you can't really converse with the people in your group. The tables are also pretty close together and we were between 3 birthday parties - some with children, so it was too noisy to really talk. For the food, as we said, the sushi is served in large portions and is generally very tasty. We tried about 5 different sushi plates, and all were great. Note, however, that if you like spicy, these actually aren't. We aren't sushi experts, but we really enjoyed it. When ordering your hibachi dinner, add the "upgrade" which, for $2.50 more, give you soup AND salad, ice cream, and a few other things. Well worth it. At the end, we were super surprised that - even with 5 sushi dishes, some sakes and Japanese beers, and 8 hibachi meals, the bill was just slightly over $200. We have eaten several times before at Ron of Japan north of Chicago, and JMK Nippon is about 1/3 of the price, and the sushi is better. However, we miss the egg sauce, and the ambiance isn't quite as good. Still, if you are in Rockford, this is a great experience and well worth a try.”
