“My wife and I visited here on Saturday, my first time here in over 40 years! My parents took me here as a child back in the '70s when family owned it. I moved away and only recently moved back. It was good back then and it is still good now! We had a beef fritter and a chicken sandwich and 2 chocolate malts. It's not fast food, but it was hot and very good. Service was friendly and cost was reasonable. We ate on one of the outdoor tables that were located out back in a grassy area. It was a trip down Memory Lane for me and a pleasant experience overall.”

“First ones in on Memorial day. Greeted at door by a very pleasant women. Good sence of humor. My wife having just had dental work done asked if they had silverware to eat with. It sounded funny to every one at the time. I explained that my wife was of very elite status and had only married me, a hillbilly, to prove that I could be enlightened and eating with silverware was a hugh step for me. We all had a good laugh and were served with silverware. The food was excellent. The service was 5 star and the price was very reasonable. Planning to return after the dental work of my wife's has healed.”

“I'm not going to lie, my expectations for this place were very low. However, I was quite pleasantly surprised. My family was there for a special meal after a funeral. They managed to serve a large group of about 40-50 of us quite efficiently. They were friendly and gladly accommodated my wife's special dietary needs without skipping a beat. The food was delicious too. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. The roast beef was moist and tender. I don't know when/if I will find myself back in Dunlap, but if I do I will gladly return to the Gold Slipper.”
