Americana

This is BY FAR my favorite place to go for food and drinks in downtown Des Moines right now. I went there for lunch and got the Americana Burger and the Grapefruit Moscow Mule.(and then a vodka soda) The burger was cooked to perfection. The fries are crispy and perfectly seasoned. The drinks are strong and delicious. And above all else the service was incredible. Fast and kind. To top it all off it is affordable and the place itself gives off cool low key vibes. I can't wait to go again. ❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐????????????

We go here on occasion for a drink and appetizer and always are well served and enjoy our stay. The Old Fashion is my go to and is consistently excellent. The atmosphere is laid back with a touch of up scale. The wait staff has been attentive and courteous.

Nice atmosphere. Gnocchi was not bad, a but heavy on the sauce. Server was polite and friendly. Great place overall

A group of about 15 went there for a business dinner. We were seated upstairs. Our server was very attentive as we were all arriving at different times. The drinks were good. I had a strawberry stripper. It was good but strong and not cold. The salad I ordered before came and was huge. They did kind of drown it in ranch dressing but was still good. Our meals arrived and I had ordered the filet. This was the best steak I had in years. It was so tender and melted in my mouth. It was served with a large serving of mashed potatoes and asparagus. The portions are large enough that I took my leftovers and had another entire meal.

I really dig this place for many reasons. The food is great. The ambiance is very cool! The adult beverages are well mixed. And the prices are very fair. Definitely check out the brunch it is gigantic
