Proof Restaurant

My boyfriend and I went to the 2nd Saturday 10 course blind tasting. The theme was Around the World. I was amazed by the speed of the waiters and waitresses. The bartenders were very nice. When they were explaining each course you could tell they were pronouncing each amazing item. One waiter poured his heart out explaining the dish. The atmosphere was happy and delightful. My boyfriend and I will definitely be coming back soon!

Each time I have been the food was amazing and the cocktails equally as delicious. We recently went for happy hour and the drink the bartender made was inventive and tasty. It’s worth the money for this quality of food and service.

So much change can sometimes fall flat - not the case here! The team is almost the same as before, the place has a new look - just fresh but not very different. Still the same, but improved. The beer, wine, and cocktail list is expanded with some fun refreshing choices on the drink menu. Honestly I never see their regular menu so cannot comment much, but just asked the kitchen to have fun -- they exceeded my expectations with short notice as well. I am impressed and trilled.

My first time in Des Moines, IA, there for work from Columbus OH. Proof was an amazing find! Beautiful and excellent tasting food and cocktails! The staff was excellent too, they explained every dish, gave me recommendations, and asked for my feedback on the dishes. And they have happy hour with great prices, can't say I've ever found a spot that gives an opportunity to try high end food at discounted prices! Any foodie will not be disappointed!

My wife and I recently went here when my business partner and his wife came in town. From what I understand there is now new ownership as well as a new head chef. It did not disappoint! Unbelievable attentiveness from our waitress, the food was perfect and the drinks were great (even though one was a little too “unique” for my partner ????, but I liked it!). The owner even came over and we had a great conversation for 10 minutes or so. We are looking forward to coming back.
