I wish I loved this place but I don't. The flavor of the meat was good however the shells on the taco's were really greasy. The chips were also greasy and you have to take several plastic lids and containers of salsa because they are tiny. They also charge for chips and salsa which is different from most Mexican restaurants. The staff are so nice and it's a cute little spot but for the price and quality I will drive a couple extra miles to get more for my money.
What this place lacks in charm & atmosphere, it makes up with food & service. I didn’t know this place existed until a couple of weeks ago and if you drove by, you would likely miss its Just steps away from the Franklin Library, it’s the perfect post library lunch spot. I have never had a cactus street taco before and theirs is delicious! Loved the mint-cucumber drink. Really want to try the hibiscus one next time. I’m excited to go back.
Chips and Salsa - chips were great, could've used a little salt. Salsa was SO good. Fresh, with great flavor.
Salsa Verde was also delicious and fresh.
Avocado Salsa was underwhelming, had a hint of avocado to it.
Asada Tacos - delicious. Fresh ingredients and steak cooked perfectly. The shells were a little soft, almost undercooked feeling.
Overall, great experience will definitely be back.
Yum! I was excited to finally try this place and it didn’t disappoint. The space is on the smaller side, but the service was friendly. Really tasty food. We ordered mole de pollo, a few different tacos, and the chilaquiles torta. It was plenty of food for two people, probably even three or four, but I wanted to try lots of different things. I appreciated they had different salsas and if you eat there they provide chips. I want to come back and try the soups for sure.
Absolutely loved dining here! A great family owned and operated restaurant. The food is delicious and authentic with lots of great things to try. I ended up going twice and really enjoyed my meals both times. Don’t sleep on the Horcata!!
