Hy-Vee Market Grille

I went to pick-up a few groceries not knowing they had a hot food bar. I found the latter and had a very good meal. The choices vary daily, so you're not 100% certain what you'll find. However, my meal was tasty, healthy, and likely less than I would have spent for a comparable meal at a full-fledged restaurant. It was pay by weight, and I think the (relatively new) checkout clerk didn't subtract the weight of the china plate I used. Nonetheless, it was still under $10 for a full meal of my choice.

I love sitting at the bar here, the service is quick and the bartenders know their beers and wines. With just a hint of what you like, they're fast to give samples to help you try new things. Not to mention there's always happy hour deals and specials. The burgers are cooked perfectly and the sushi made to order. Definitely worth a try, or a weekly stop!

Happy hour is amazing half price drinks and apps kids eat free tuesdays with adult purchase! But what I really wanted to mention is how amazing Cynthia is! She was training and all the while letting us know about specials kid menu and helping us with everything we needed!!!! Thank you so much we had a great evening!!!!

Stopped by one Monday, and what a great surprise it was half off appetizers and drafts. The service was meh... It wasn't the server that told me it was a fellow patron. The boneless wings had a good flavor, but looked like they may have been frozen. They were cooked well and came relatively quickly. The fish tacos, well there wasn't much fish on mine, I had maybe 4 dime sized pieces per taco with a ton of cabbage. Overall the food was pretty good and value was reasonable. The atmosphere was clean and laid back. I'd go again.
