“Happened to be at the Merle Hay Mall, decided to have a malted milk at the Maid Rite. Standing in line, the young chap in front of me got some onion rings - they looked really good, so I bought an order of onion rings to go with my strawberry malted. Delicious! Nice and hot, and the malt was nice and cold. And the woman behind the counter was courteous & friendly. The 'only' reason I didn't give them five stars was because the rings and malt were a little bit pricey for fast food! Otherwise, I'm glad I stopped here today.”

“Tamales! Our holiday search for tamales took us to Tamales Industry, now located in the food court at Merle Hay Mall. Yum. (Thanks Ralph Siddall for the recommendation.) I was accompanied by Margo, a friend from Minneapolis who was passing through Des Moines. I had two poblano pepper tamales; my commensal had one poblano and one pork. I recommend this place.”

“This place is a gem! Yes, it's located in Merle Hay Mall but if you are ever in there and hungry please stop at this little restaurant!! All of the appetizers were so good, especially the cheese puffs! I got the 2 dishes with noodles (spicy beef and orange chicken) Very tasty and she makes all her own sauces! This place is enough reason to make a trip to mhm. Do it!”

“What a joke! BDubs is now offering buy-one-get-one free boneless wings on Thursday nights, but the joke is they have doubled the price for the wings so you're still paying the same price and they're telling you you're getting half of them for free. We compared our receipt from last Thursday to this Thursday, so we know this is correct. After they remodeled, they now have spotlights for the lighting that shine directly down on the customers foreheads at several tables. they might as well sell tanning lotion to avoid getting sunburn on your forehead while you're eating ????. They also have a pedestrian crosswalk right outside their front door, it generally has minimal snow removal and no signs telling drivers to yield to pedestrians. I know this is a given that the cars are supposed to yield, but when nine out of ten cars want to race you for the crosswalk.... It might be time for Buffalo Wild Wings to do something about protecting their customers?”

“What to Perkins around 5 p.m., got seated and then the people started coming in and there was only one waitress, Cheyenne, and the hostess. More people came in had to be seated, and then waited on. While continuing to serve the existing Cheyenne and the hostess, did an excellent job of taking care of everyone. Finally a late-arriving waitress got there at 6:10 p.m. by that time Cheyenne and the hostess had everything under control. The meal what's good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Thanks to Cheyenne and the hostess, for their good work and keeping a good demeanor.”
