Grimaldi’s Pizzeria

Pizza is great, but they made a mistake that a lot of failed restaurants make. Having worked in restaurants for a long time, I learned that if it’s possible for a restaurant to do it, and the customer wants it, you do it. If they have the ingredients to make something that’s not on the menu and the customer wants it, you make it. If they ask for something that you don’t typically do, you do it. We wanted a pizza with half white sauce, half red sauce and they said they won’t make pizza with 1/2 sauces. If you want to stay in business, do not dictate to the customer what they can have if you can physically do it. It really is just those little things you can do to show a customer that you’ll go above and beyond that will bring them back.

Ordered the smallest calzone they had and spent $30 with tip. It tasted good, but it took a while to get our food and then to pay. Spent too much time there for a lunch break. No intentions to go back. One calzone for $30 wasn't worth it (plus $4 per topping! And there didn't seem to be much of toppings in it).
