“I enjoy starting and ending bike rides at The Terrace. It’s a perfect location for this sort of thing, and there is no view like the view from The Terrace on either side of the bridge. I appreciate that The Terrace has vegan snacks and entrees, and grabbing a beer, wine or mocktails to go with it is a nice touch. Some issues with service, equipment failures, and item or ingredient availability takes away from the overall experience, but I’m still glad The Terrace is on the riverfront. I appreciate the restaurant’s mission and commitment of service to the community, and that, for sure, will keep me coming back.”

“A step back in time of a very fine dining experience. What an amazing evening from the moment Alan greeted us at the door and escorted us to our table. Justin, our server, stepped in to introduce himself, offer our menus, water, and bread with a wonderful dipping sauce while also taking our drink order. Justin returned with our drinks and shared thoughts of the menu selections. We started with an amazing seafood melody of lobster, scallop, and shrimp fondue as our appetizer. Followed by two perfectly prepared tender filet mignon, a shared baked potatoe, sautéed mushrooms all prepared by their excellent chef. Justin checked on us often, as did the restaurant manager Troy. We followed dinner with an amazing dessert and closed the place down after an unforgettable dining experience. Thank you, 1853, for a perfect evening.”

“Had the fajita and the Philly steak with Mac and cheese with sprite and sweet tea. The sweet tea wasn’t as sweet as I hoped but was still good. Also had side of fries and bone in bbq wings. The wings did not disappoint but sadly the fries just weren’t it. They seemed to be double fried as they were really crunchy like hurt your teeth crunchy. It’s whatever because it’s just fries. We also had the brownie Sunday which can feed more than just two people it’s huge and delicious. Wish I would have taken a picture but I wanted to eat it! Our server was super nice and was attentive to everyone she was helping. I plan on eating here again and encourage others to check it out.”

“We enjoyed having our son's birthday party here. They have great party packages, which is cool. And I didn't know they'd remodeled, but it looks really nice. The only issue I had was playing phone tag to get the party booked in the first place because you have to go through corporate which I don't love, but once we did connect he was helpful and kind. The party was super fun and staff day of were wonderful and on top of it. They decorated and set up the party table so I literally just had to show up, which is what I was wanting!”

It’s nostalgic, it’s delicious and all the more joyous. You can definitely smell it from your home if you lived around the area! It just makes you want to have it! It was definitely the thing that my family and I were planning but just weren’t to sure one which new place to try but we decided to give this place a go! Barbecue is an art, a meditative process the perfection of which depends solely on personal judgment and I without a doubt can say this is some of the best BBQ around the area!! The Brisket, oh boy, by FAR my personal favorite. It was so tender, so much flavor and I loved every bite that entered my palates. The price is decent BUT YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you’re looking for something cheap, I suggest fast food. If you’re looking for authentic, home made, family owned BBQ. Then I highly recommend this place. I will definitely be bringing friends and family around more often!”
