“Drive through extremely slow. Fist window was closed so second window did everything. My big Mac was totally cold, one buyer was nearly off the buns as well as the cheese. Folded the cheese over to get it on the bun, lettuce was not fresh by any means. Highlight of my visit was the caramel latte which is better than Starbucks. I could see everyone working hard so don't know what was going on within the store.”

“We moved here a few months ago from the Paola area. Have really been missing Chen's Buffet there. Finally decided to give China Palace a try. We were very pleasantly surprised. “El Mezcal is a good Mexican restaurant near the town square in Ottawa, Kansas. The food is good, the service is fast, and the people are friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend it. It's a somewhat busy restaurant, but not overly so. The decor includes pictures and scenes of old Mexico. However, it's all brightly colored and I found it a bit distracting. The prices aren't bad. They're slightly cheaper than other Mexican restaurants in the area and the service is better than the other restaurants in the area. We were immediately seated and our food was ready very quickly. The food is great. The only criticism I have is that the rice and beans weren't as warm as I would have liked. Nearly every dish is served with rice and beans, and many are served with guacamole and sour cream. The beverages are pepsi products and they even have a bar.”

“I always love eating at Maria's. Today I had the number three combo plate. The presentation and ingredients of the meal were of the same size portions as they were fifteen years ago. Being an authentic Mexican Restaurant with the Marine Corp motif. Prices have come up a tad, as all restaurants have but the eating experience is exactly as it always has been. You better be hungry if you eat at Maria's because the portions on the combo plates are large.”

“Roasted Cafe is a welcoming cozy restaurant. Big, roomy booths and uncrowded table seating make dining comfortable. The owners are on site and the service is excellent. Generous servings of cafe favorites comprise the menu. They always offer specials for breakfast and dinner and a soup of the day. “Pizza is great but customer service I received for my recent purchase was not good. I've been a loyal customer for a long time. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on pizzas through the years ordering food for our family, sports teams, etc. Tonight I ordered a pizza with light cheese (as I always do) and they made the mistake of giving me regular cheese. That's No problem at all!!! Mistakes happen. That's just normal for all people and organizations, including myself. That's perfectly Ok! I called them and told them I'm outside and want to please get one with light cheese. The first response was them asking me if I still had the original pizza. "Do you still have the pizza? We have to have that!" The first thing they can think of is making sure they get the mistake pizza back. Of course I have it. I don't want it. It's not what I ordered. Then I have to wait, obviously, for the correct order, which is ok but when I go in after waiting they tell me immediately that they had made a second mistake on the original pizza and added regular cheese but forgot to add the hamburger and needed to charge me another 1.50 for the additional topping they forgot to add on the first time along with the other mistake. Never mind my wait and second trip from the house to the store. They are communicating this: "While we appreciate your purchases through the years, we really care now about that 1.50 than we do you and your inconvenience. That's al we care about!" No apologies were given for the mistake. No reconciliation. No nothing. Oh! Escort l except the charge. That's unacceptable and unprofessional. I know the owner is a nice guy and perhaps he is not aware of this and that's the reason no one has attempted to reach out to me to rectify and apologize. Perhaps someone else or no one gets notified of these reviews. I don't know. I will continue to do business unless they ban me for my honest review but will leave this review up until such time they do speak to me about it to prove their sincerity and respect.”

“This was my second visit to Smokey's. Both times have been excellent trying a variety of items. Tonight we had the 3 meat platter. We had sausage, turkey and spare ribs. All three were good but the sausage and turkey were the highlight. They have sweet potato fries that have an accompanying dipping sauce (have to ask for the sauce). I love the sauce and would dip anything in it. Surprisingly it is very savory with herbs instead of the typical marshmallow sauce. It is unexpected and really works with the sweet of the fries. Depending where you are it is a bit of a drive but a fun and tasty destination.”
