Excellent bakery items. We had Mimosas with them! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Expect them to be busy. Parking was hard to find they were so full.
I had never been to McLain's Market before. A former co-worker who I was meeting for lunch recommended it to me and a half way meet up place. The place does carry out as well as indoor seating and when the weather is nice has a patio area. They place is very popular. One orders up front, and then get a number to food to be served. This place does breakfast, specialty coffee and baked goods (I ended up taking some baked goods with me to try later). For lunch I did pick two option Market Wrap with Berry Kale salad. The portions are a good size, but the prices were very good (around $10). Turn around service was quick. I am glad to have found I another place I should frequent in the future.
McLain's is wonderful! The staff, food, and atmosphere is what keeps my family coming back over and over again. My favorites are the veggie quiche and carrot muffins... but honestly... everything is so good!
I don't travel to Overland Park Kansas often for breakfast, so I was unfamiliar with this restaurant. At 1st glance, it is fantastic. Be prepared this the parking lot is tiny, and somehow, they have crammed a drive-through in on top of it being small. Once you get past having to wait for a parking spot, the inside of the restaurant is lovely. It is very warm and inviting. There are many display cases with cookies pastries and many other home bakes goods. If I were judging the restaurant solely on its look it's coffee and pastries, it would have been a 5 star for sure. My issue was mostly with the customer service. I dealt with two different people when I checked out separately for pastries then breakfast. Both times the associates seemed on edge and were not very helpful. So much in fact that when we asked questions about the menu for certain types of food, they almost seem offended. The pastries were terrific, but the breakfast itself was not. I might revisit this restaurant for coffee or just pastries, but I'm not sure that I would have breakfast again, and that is a shame. The space is set up wonderfully for meetings or medium-sized families. I hope they make it in this location.
Great place with awesome food! Plenty of seating and a drive thru! I had their sunflower toast and a latte. Would highly recommend! Staff is super friendly and service is fast but quality food.
