“Today I went for a test run of the restaurant and I ordered the chicken sandwich. It was probably top 3 best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I also tried the biscuit with gravy, the chicken and waffle, and the boudin balls. All of them were amazing, even though the syrup on the waffle wasn’t my favorite (just a personal preference). The restaurant its self is stunning. The decor, bathrooms, doors, floors, counters, chairs, tables, and walls were all beautiful. I especially loved the blue leather chairs. The atmosphere really increased my dining experience. Because this is a new restaurant, its waiters are new. Considering this, they were obviously still learning, but for what they did know, they were amazing. I think that by the end of the year this restaurant should be extremely popular!!”

“Stopped by this place yesterday for a quick bite. This place is delightful?!? Staff was super sweet and accommodating. I got the waffle (see photo) it was amazing. My girlfriend got the burger and we both devoured our meals. Blackberry lemonade was on point and super tart if you are into that sort of thing. Parking along the front, I can see where depending on the time of day it could get busy but it didn't seem to be an issue when I went after lunch time. Interior is eclectic, lots of interesting options. Check em' out”

Loved talking with each staff member sharing their knowledge and dressed in period costumes. Sitting Bear, Ms Thibadeaux, and the school master were all friendly and welcomed questions. “Simple menu, sliders and fries. I’m happy with that 😃 the slider itself was very delicious, the bread was so soft and buttery. I got a ‘biggie’ slider, fries and a large coke for $8, I think that’s a great price for a full meal in Lafayette. I did walk up, I got my food within 15 minutes of ordering. The drive through line was very long. I recommend getting down until the ‘newness’ fades away. All in all great experience & great food. Will definitely be back. I need to try the shakes. The ice cream machines were not working ;( Outdoor patio is the only available seating, but there are fans and it was pleasant even in summer. Plenty of tables as well”

They gave great recommendations also. I went with a few people and our orders were very quick to come out also. I tried the sweet potato and pecan cobbler. It was really good, but I wouldn't classify it as a cobbler in my opinion. It was too sweet but it was dry, which all the cobblers I've ever had are moist. The ice cream was in a separate cup so you can mix both how you feel. I would definitely try more options here, the cinnamon rolls and cookies are up next 😋”
