Jacques-Imo's

The most AMAZING food I've ever had. Every single dish here is divine; very much worth the price (each app is about $10-$12, each entree is about $28-$30). The service is fabulous; our server, Lauren, heard that it was our first time in New Orleans and gave us a free bowl of gumbo and also dessert on the house. We ended up ordering the gumbo, it was THAT good! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu; of the hundreds of restaurants I've visited for the Google Guides program, this is the FIRST restaurant where every menu item from the appetizers to the desserts was 11/10. Recommended by a few locals, I thought I'd check this place out. I was told that this is an excellent example of New Orleans cuisine and is one if the restaurants that would be considered "original New Orleans cuisine." What phenomenal food. It honestly made me rethink all the other ratings I've given because I can't go higher than five. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was unique. The menu was hard to choose because everything looked so good. Will be returning to Jacques-Imo's next time I am in town.

Always a fantastic place to go for a special occasion or date night. The staff are very knowledgeable and make you feel welcome as soon as you step into the main bar. Food is pricey, however each dish captures the essence of Louisiana in every bite which makes it worth every penny. 10/10 will always recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a true New Orleans food experience.

I do not have the words. Delicious and down-home and funky and great. It feels like a New Orleans jazz concert on a plate if that makes sense. It’s unique and Cajun and a lot of fun. Next door is a great bar. Take the street car and enjoy the view.

A true gem! This place has a great atmosphere, coupled with excellent food and even better service. Our server Marie made sure we were very happy with everything. Our glasses were always full, and they made sure we had plenty of their cornbread. The owner was very nice as well. This was one of my favorite places, and i will definitely be returning!!!
