An eclectic independent restaurant with outstanding lobster rolls and other choices. The ambiance is casual with knick knacks covering the walls and shelves throughout the place. We had quite a long wait but noticed nobody was leaving the line. We learned when we finally got our food why nobody left - it was delicious! Great spot to eat but bring a snack for the line!

First I'd like to say the service was very good. They were already busy, and they were expecting two bus loads. And as for my meal, I couldn't ask for a nicer meal. I had homemade blueberry pie with ice cream and coffee afterwards.... And it was just as good as the lobster!

A regular feature of our annual trip to the Mt. Desert Island region, and it never disappoints. Delicious food, friendly attentive waitstaff, pleasant surroundings, and reasonable prices. ????

There are more places to get lobster rolls in Maine than you can ever imagine. I happen to be driving by Lunt's Lobster Pound and noticed the 4 cauldrons steaming out front. They had me hooked and I stopped in for probably the best lobster roll I have ever tasted. During my first visit it was cold outside so I ate inside with the family owners. They were great to chat with and suggested I have the warm roll. The lobster was cooked to perfection and delicious on the buttered roll with lettuce. I said I'd visit again and stopped on a very warm day. So I ate outside in a shady area. This time I tried the cold roll and it was also perfect. I will always make it a point to stop here when I am visiting the Bar Harbor area.

Lobster what can you say. Wonderful. My husband who doesn't care for much seafood had an excellent fish sandwich.
Great prices. Great food. Quickly made.
Outside seating. The garden in back would make perfect place for a wedding!

    Pets welcome.
