We stopped at the Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound once on our trip to Acadia and loved the food. The lobster rolls and coleslaw were delicious. Nice ambience for a roadside stand. Family-owned and friendly service. We definitely recommend.

If you want a good place to get delicious whole lobster and eat it without feeling like a barbarian (let's face it, shelling and eating a lobster is messy) this is the place. Good ole down home, pick out your own lobster, cooked while you wait type of place. Lobster was amazing. I haven't been to a lot of lobster pounds but I would say the price is decent. $32 for a little over 2 pound lobster. Sides might be a little pricey, but good. It's basically a little shack along the road with lobster. Very fun. How many times did I say lobster in this review!? You count. Lobster.

Decent spot - a little overpriced in my opinion. Bought the Chowder (great taste but very watery - so if you like thick chowder, this may not be for you). Soft shell lobster (sweeter but less meat, slightly cheaper). Slice of blueberry pie (delicious, but you can go down the road to a bakery and buy the same slice for $3). They are open for takeout 30 minutes after posted hours!

It was not recommended by the locals but we loved it! Pick out your live lobster and they cook it in large salt water pots! Good price and great lobster. Super friendly people. Typical picnic tables but very clean.

We were returning from Acadia National Park and wanted to take some lobster home. It was been told that this is one of the best restaurant for pack and go lobster. We were novice in lobster eating so we were not sure. We went there and saw lots of lobster were steaming in some really huge chamber. lots of steam were coming out of chimney and the smell of lobster was everywhere. Shop was small and I asked for help. He told me that to take lobster home in CT I can take it live. they will pack it in a box with ice-pack. What I need to do to is to check if the ice melted. if melted we need to give fresh ice and drain the water otherwise lobster get drowned. Lobster can stay more than 24 hour in that way. He explained about the soft shell and hard shell lobster. but the way they were cooking it I was not sure we can cook it in home. the place was smelling so bad ( I mean good in terms of lobster eating ) that we do not want to cook in home. So they steamed it with sea water . pack the steamed lobsters in a bag and gave the box and told us to put it in the box after three hour. And repeatedly told us to not freeze the cooked lobster. He was bit irritated when I repeatedly telling about the freezing of leftovers. He was always mentioning about the fresh eating of lobster. After returning home we ate half of the lobsters and froze the leftovers. later when we ate that we understand that why the old man was repeatedly told to not do that. it became like rubber. Always obey the experts. Lobsters need to be eaten fresh . I will not do the mistake again. So that was the story of this restaurant.

price wise in comparison to quality it is cheaper than any pound in Acadia.

you can eat there. They will steam it for you.

restaurant is small and most of the time in a day it is crowdy.
