“Great place to grab a meal or provisions. Many of their own products (try the Portuguese hunters sausage or fennel salami) & mostly Maine provisions from beer to cheese to pork to spices to wines. Outdoor tables/bar with charcuterie boards & other dishes (the mission figs with a red wine reduction & goat cheese were to drive for)”

the HUB @ Pemaquid Oyster Company

Address: 1005 Bristol Rd, Bristol, ME 04539, USA

“Maybe the best oysters I’ve ever had. Great little wine list, very pleasant outdoor setting. The clams and mussels we bought to cook at our cabin were amazing, too. We were also able to preorder some tuna and black bass (do check for availability on things like this) that was equally spectacular. Can’t wait to come back.”

The Anchor Restaurant

Address: 34 R-33, Round Pond, ME 04564, USA

Restaurant

“Very nice welcome. Staff very professional but relaxed. Good food with good helpings. Salmon, crab cakes and fresh, raw oysters are tops. French fries too. Liked the harbor view even if a bit chilly today. Round Pond has some charming Victorian period homes.”

Muscongus Bay Lobster

Address: 28 Landing Road, Round Pond, ME 04564, USA

Restaurant

“Food was hot and well prepared but the price was about 25% higher for the lobster dinner than the Round Pond Lobster Co-op right next door. The meals are exactly the same. 1 lobster, 1 lb of steamers, 1 ear of corn, 1 serving of drawn butter. The service was the same and the view at the co-op is a little better. We have eaten at both and prefer the co-op which I would rate as 5 stars.”

Round Pond Lobster Co-op Restaurant

Address: Round Pond, ME 04564, USA

Restaurant

“Great service. Great food. Great view. Very reasonably priced. About 25% less than Muscongus Bay Lobster right next door for the exact same lobster dinner. I have eaten at both and greatly prefer Round Pond Lobster Co-Op because of the price and it isn't touristy looking.”

SeaGull Restaurant & Gift

Address: 3119 Bristol Rd, New Harbor, ME 04554, USA

Restaurant

“Iconic coastal Maine. We spent a bit on lunch ($20+ /person, lobster roll was tasty) and enjoyed a delightful view of the ocean. Afterwards we walked along the water, the weathered Rocky coastline was beautiful.”

Shaw's Fish & Lobster Wharf

Address: 129 ME-32 Suite A, New Harbor, ME 04554, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped here for lunch, we rode motorcycles up the coast, and spotted it as we were riding. Nice location, great views from the outdoor deck. Beer on tap was a plus. Walk up to an indoor window and ordered our lunch. Fried scallop roll was very tasty and a good number of scallops. Fries were decent. Clam chowder was broth, a good amount of clams and potatoes. We shared onion rings which were good. Other lunches were lobster pie and a seafood casserole. All in all a decent seafood lunch in a picturesque setting. Food was very good, not anything special compared to other places along the way. You won't go wrong eating here, especially in the off season - no long wait! I would recommend it if you are in the area.”

The Harbor Room Restaurant

Address: 2477 Bristol Rd, New Harbor, ME 04554, USA

Restaurant

“Wonderful management. Exceptional waitstaff and cooks. Food was delicious, atmosphere very friendly. Spinach salad fresh and tasty. Sampled just about all appetizers and they were great, especially the seared tuna.”

Deb's Bristol Diner

Address: 1267 Bristol Rd, Bristol, ME 04539, USA

Restaurant

“My wife and I make it a priority to visit this place every day for breakfast we can when we are on vacation in Maine. The wait staff are locals and are responsive, friendly and efficient in working in the tiny little location. The food was well priced, varied and absolutely delicious. We have had eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, french toast, benedicts, biscuits and gravy and all manners of hash over the different times we have gone there and it is all prepared well and hot. The coffee keeps flowing and I always leave feeling quite full and ready for a day of looking at lighthouses and pottery. I haven't tried their lunch, but I imagine it is also good. Parking is a little tricky and the space itself is pretty small so be there early, especially in the summer.”

The Cupboard Café

Address: 137 Huddle Rd, New Harbor, ME 04554, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Absolutely love this place. It's a must every time we come to Maine! Cinnamon rolls and sticky buns, cream puffs are the best you will ever eat... Along with just about anything else on the menu. In 20 year we have never had a bad meal there”

Pemaquid Seafood

Address: 32 Co-Op Rd, Pemaquid, ME 04558, USA

Restaurant

“Great place to bring your own appetizers, sides, and drinks and order fresh lobster fresh from the dock. Prices are reasonable. View is terrific. Along with seating, there's also a big grassy area for kids to run around or to just lounge and take in the view.”

The Contented Sole

Address: Colonial Pemaquid Rd, New Harbor, ME 04554, USA

Restaurant

“After fun dusk Puffin watching cruise out of New Harbor we were scrambling for place to eat seafood dinner in the area. Some locals steered us here. This place was awesome on every level!!! Favorite place we have eaten in the Pemaquid, New Harbor and Boothbay Harbor area, hands down! First, the location on the scenic bay is spectacular, and the way they kept it casual, funky and hip is brilliant. Second, food was inspired and delicious, with traditional ME offerings and many others with inspired spin and flair. Kudos to the chef, who incidentally came out after our meal to make sure we enjoyed everything. Third, service was near perfect—our waiter was friendly, professional and fun, and we got our drinks and food in good time. Fourth, nice selection of wine, craft beers and fun cocktails. Next time in that area (we are from California) we will head directly to The Sole and know it will be a trip highlight. I know I’m gushing but we tried many other predictable eateries and this was such a refreshing standout.”
