“We drove up to Maine for the day and got some assorted donuts to take home. We were so disappointed when we finally opened the box whose heavenly aroma had been filling the car for hours. They were the most amazing donuts I had ever tasted. The strawberry shortcake was dense, yet light and creamy. The monkey bread was like sampling little cinnamon roll morsales. My husband who asked me not to get him anything took a bite and asked when we were going back. We live 3 hours each way ???????? We are still going through withdrawals. So good, reasonably priced, and an eclectic assortment. It is now on our must stop list when heading north.”

Food was pretty bland and boring. Burgers salty, chicken had no flavor. What wasn't bland was way over salted. There are better options in town. Tried 2x and doubt we'll be back.”

“The location was very nice. Close to everything yet just far away to be away from the crowds. Goose Neck Beach is just down the street which was really nice. We went down in the mornings to watch the sunrise. The complimentary breakfast was just right. I loved the cinnamon and blueberry scones. The place was quiet and the staff friendly. My only complaint would be the place itself could use some TLC and we were in a double queen room and one of the queen mattresses really should have been replaced. It was that bad. The other queen mattress you could see, feel and tell was newer. All in all a very nice stay and we would return.”

We rented kayaks and took the Pineapple Ketch on sunset sail. Very relaxing. You must enjoy children as this is a family resort. Wonderful children activities. We will stay again.”

“This is the ONLY place I've had a lobster roll. They are delicious. Made on a 12" sub roll which is soft & fresh. I've only had the original there and that fills me up. They have about 5 more sizes meaning more meat. The Italians are awesome also. All the veg tasted fresh made on the same roll. I would highly recommend Pool Street Market. Great prices, atmosphere and great tasting.”

“I drive from Portland for this ice cream. I go right past all the other ice cream places and head to Big Daddy's. Of course I bring my cooler. I am grateful that I don't live any closer or I'd be in Big trouble! This is the creamiest, most flavor filled ice cream I have ever eaten. A small two flavors - any flavor is my favorite here - in a waffle cone, which is also delicious, is my go to and more than I really can handle but I force myself. The size of the small cone is quite large by any other places standards. Make the trip - you won't be disappointed.”

“The best $180 I ever spent on lunch. We got a few lobsters and lobster rolls, a pint of chowder, onion rings, and a bottle of water. I would have spent more but thankfully, I saw the sign that informed me that even if I bought a bottle of wine, I wouldn't be able to drink it in the back yard which looks out on the "pool" due to the alcoholic beverage restrictions. If you want to hang with the quality, and have a few hundred bucks to spare, this is a great place for lunch! The portions were all very modest too - so no fear of getting fat!”
