We got a bucket of corona that according to our server contained six beers, when it came out, it only had five. 🤷🏽♀️ I guess not a big deal, but then again, not accurate. We order two appetizers (bacon wrapped shrimp and crab meat dip - both delicious-.) that came out pretty quickly. We order dinner. Two of our dishes ( salmon dish) came out pretty fast. The other four dinners were never served. The staff completely forgot about us. Not sure what happened. 🤷🏽♀️”

“Lāk Restaurant (pronounced Lake) was quite nice and had a wonderful view of the lake. Some of the food was a little hit and miss, but the hits were superb. The baked brie was phenomenal, with a strawberry rhubarb compote that was just fantastic on it. The lobster bisque was also excellent, certainly the best I've ever had. And the wild boar tagliatelle pasta had an amazing sauce and flavors. Unfortunately the vegetable risotto was greatly lacking seasoning and was rather bland, and the grilled baguette and dipping sauce was rather lackluster. We were overall satisfied and will definitely come back.”

“The food, prepared by Kaleb and Rob was very good. The young lady that bought the food out was friendly and offered help with using Q-r code. Ambience was nice. The portions were good. They encourage you to order through Q-r code. Which isn’t preferable for me at any restaurant. I think they need to work on speed. It was only 3 tables in use and I thought food came out slowly. I’d give them another chance because I noticed a help wanted flyer in the window.”

“Food is very fresh. Staff is pleasant. The inside is very spacious and an upgrade from your typical locations. There are two entrance/exit doors. The beverage bar has free refills. You can tell staff may be a bit new working together but it's a good vibe. The booths typically need to be cleaned more regularly. I came for the grand opening and the decorations were amazing. However now they are tucked away under a booth near the doorway. Cashiers are always efficient. There is plenty of uncovered free parking in front. There is also outdoor seating.”

“These tacos are probably some of the best in MD and the closest to what I can find back home in Houston. However, we were told it would only be a 25 minute wait and we ended waiting for an hour and twenty. It would have been helpful to set expectations for customers so we could have waited at home or gone grocery shopping around the corner. Really wanted to love this place because the tacos are amazing. Just due to the waiting and poor communication, we likely won’t be coming back”

“We had 7 family members for lunch just before Thanksgiving. Service was good except having to ask a couple of times for silverware. My two grand kids, 9 and 7, of course went for the pancakes. They couldn't have been happier. My wife, daughter and daughter in law were happy with their sandwich choices. My son and I ordered Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. Used to poached eggs on this dish ours were hard boiled. Rather than bring this up we decided to grin and bare it. It was OK for what it was but we did miss the egg yolk saturating the English muffin. Perhaps this is their default for the dish...or, perhaps the chef just didn't pay enough attention to his/her staff. This was our first visit to the restaurant and my wife and I have not written them off...we will be going again. The restaurant is beautiful and convenient for us. My son and his family, now back in Oregon, regard their whole visit as enjoyable.”

“So my wife’s birthday is the 10th of this Month and I contacted multiple vegan bakeries in regards to what I wanted for my wife’s special day. Well after searching locally I found DWP Bakery and gave them a call. After speaking with the baker about my specific requests it seemed as though I had hit a dead end until she stated to me that “she usually focuses on cupcakes but, I’m sure I can make this happen for you” I got an email back saying that she was sure she could make it happen for me. So without hesitation I was ready to pay whatever to make sure that it happened. A couple days later I got an email saying that the baker had tested positive for Covid-19 and if cleared she could still make my cake. She gave me trusted references just in case she didn’t clear, which I thought was extremely professional. Got another email days later saying the baker was cleared and would love to bring my idea to life. Long story short I said heck yes, thanked the baker 1million times and placed my order on the website. I haven’t even picked up my order yet but, the bakers professionalism, her confidence in what she was doing and her taking a chance and making something come to life is every bit of amazing. The baker never over promised, was very transparent and worked with me. And honestly because of her my wife’s special day will be everything she wants it to be. Give DWP Cupcakes a shot an I promise you, you will not regret it. Full Vegan, extremely professional and most of all honest. Not to mention reasonably priced. Thank you DWP for this an I’m 100% certain we will be back.”
