“This is my Dad's favorite restaurant. Because of this I have eaten here dozens of times over the course of time. The service is always very good. The food is wonderful. I love the salmon amore because it is not to heavy. The desserts are fantastic. Despite all this they aren't as busy as they used to be. There is nothing trendy about the place. But great food and good service makes up for that.”

“In a town filled with phenomenal Chinese restaurants, Sichuan Jin River truly stands out. I had the Deep-Fried Tofu with Pepper, and it was the best I've ever had. Just the right amount of Sichuan spice blend and salt, and the tofu was pressed and fried properly to the consistency of cracklings Also a great find for vegetarians, you won't have to play 21 Questions to find out whether the vegetable soup is made with vegetable broth. Ask for it, and they'll make it that way, no problem”

“Best, best, best Chinese restaurant we have been to since we moved here 5 months ago. We came from LA, and were really disappointed with the quality and price range of Chinese food in the DC area, until we visited this store. Here we found some very authentic soup dumplings, and the dishes were very well made. The skin of the wanton seems to be thicker than usual, but the broth was very tasty. The only downside is that the place is not big enough for the overflowing guests. Definitely will come back again.”

“I love this place. It's old school, down to earth, blue collar, not expensive, not fancy, pretty small. No problem with parking is a huge benefit. I love the frosted mugs and selection of beers on tap. If you're looking for a young sexy crowd, not the place to go. If you're looking to unwind, relax, and don't care about how you look or what you are wearing, this is the place to be. I hear they have great food but I haven't ordered any recently so I can't provide feedback.”

“I am HEART BROKEN that this place shut down!!! I went once for their brunch buffet and am soooooo saddened that I didn’t get the chance to return!! They were fairly new and was open less than 2 years ????. They closed down bc they weren’t making rent payments to lease the space. I don’t see why not! They were packed the one time I did go and they weren’t cheap. I would’ve thought they’d have more than enough money pouring in. I hope they reopen this place! The bottomless brunch at $40/person featuring shrimp cocktail, lobster rolls, snow crab legs and more! You could even top it all off with bottomless mimosas for $8 more! If they open their doors back up, I’m definitely gonna be first in line! Lol”

“I do not recommend the veggies for hibachi (really weird chemical taste), but for the price and quick food service, it really can't be beat. They also have a punch card, where you can get a free hibachi plate if you go nine times. I also recommend getting sushi from there. They prepare the salmon fresh from an actual filet of the salmon fish, not from prepackaged chunks that look suspect. The sushi is really reasonably priced and doesn't have a fishy odor to it at all.”
