“First visit to this location, and it was just as excellent as the others we’ve visited. This space reminded me of the DC location, and has a similar vibe. It was really busy and the entire staff was on point - from the host, the bartender, the servers, food runners, managers. Everyone worked together flawlessly to make our experience amazing. We did the tasting menu, which I highly recommend with an asterisk. It’s a lot of food! We were really hungry, but even so ended up taking some home with us. It was an amazing display of many different dishes we wouldn’t have normally ordered. So glad we did the tasting menu. It will be our go to next time as they change it up, and everything just kept on coming. The desert was this grapefruit granitas with candied grapefruit. The perfect, refreshing end to an amazing meal and evening.”

“The food was very good. However please know that everything they have on the menu is either cooked with, in, or has mixed in SOY bean oil! Even the rice had soy bean oil in it. My group of 5 (one of us with a soy allergy) found this out when ordering our dinners. If you have a soy allergy I highly recommend going somewhere else.”

“We have always enjoyed Passion Fish for dinner. It's a splurge for us, but as people who enjoy fresh fish, well prepared and presented nicely, we always feel it is worth the cost. The restaurant is nicely appointed, staff is friendly and helpful. The bar is very good and lively, even on weekday evenings. The noise level can be high, so we prefer tables towards the rear. Lately, we have tried Passion Fish at lunchtime. For lunch in a nice Bethesda restaurant, it is a good choice both in terms of menu and price. Salads are excellent and sandwiches, featuring fish and seafood, are generous. Full meal entrees are also available, but selection is limited compared to the dinner menu. If you enjoy excellent fish and/or seafood and are ready to pay the cost, Passion Fish is a great place for a special occasion. If you would like to enjoy the restaurant, but want to spend a bit less, then try it out at lunch time. Chances are, you'll be back for dinner.”

“I came here two days in a row while traveling and having misses everywhere else. Buffet for $11.99 the butter chicken actually had a full flavor profile without trying to be too spicy or pungent. Too many Indian places compensate by making things too spicy or having an imbalance of spices spoiling the dish. You could taste the rounded spices with this butter chicken, which I devoured about two plates worth. They provide naan with the buffet. It's not the largest buffet with a lot of variety, about ten different quality dishes. The staff was great, they welcome and seat you promptly. Drinks are kept full, and checks arrive promptly when indication is presented. If I lived in Bethesda I'd eat here every week.”

“Came here with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. We had an okay experience the first time, but decided to come back and give it another go. We were thoroughly impressed this time around with the service. At the time, Joseph was our server, and he made our experience that much better with his attentiveness and menu recommendations. The spicy lobster appetizer was amazing, so good that we wanted to order another! Our entrees were a filet and lobster which were great as well, but those are always great here. If you have a chance to go here for a special occasion, request Joseph if he's still there!”

“The food is delicious and the Pho is the best I've ever had!! didn't give 5 stars because there's one guy who often works the register who is pretty rude. He is in his phone the entire time. He doesn't greet you, doesn't look up to acknowledge you're there. He just says "name" and grabs your bag, take your money and send you on your way without ever looking at you. I'm not a fan of that kind of customer service, but the food is delicious, and for that, i will be back!”

“My favorite Chinese restaurant. There was a time when there was a good Chinese restaurant on every corner, but that's no longer the case. If you're looking for a great Chinese meal, then come to Foong Lin. Try the fried dumplings and hot and sour....everything else I've had has also been good. The service is friendly and efficient; they take good care of you. The chef is likely to visit you for your feedback, unusual in a Chinese restaurant. He's also the owner, and is the spark that makes Foong Lin great.”

“The best deli I have ever had the pleasure of going to. The food is very fresh and prepared with care right in front of you. Joy is very pleasant and goes so far as to remembering peoples names :) My favorites to get there are the lemon muffins, any variation of the chicken salad sandwich (though the one with avocado in it is absolutely delish), and a spicy chicken pasta dish that is prepped and portioned and put in the “Grab and Go” area.”

“Haven't been to Ethiopian in more than a decade so I don't have a solid baseline to measure against. 3 of us went and got the largest sampler that included 10 items, 4 of which are meats. It was plenty for 3 people and probably adequate for 4, unless all are big eaters. The meats were very good. We ordered them spicy and they had some heat, but were not overpowering, especially since you eat a bite of it and then move on to other items. The vegan items were tasty, but did include salad and beets, which were nothing special. Prices for beer were in the $5 range for brand name, mass market beer on tap. Probably it deserves only 4 stars, but it provides a nice change of pace at affordable prices so I gave it 5 stars. Go with a few people and share the variety of foods.”
