The waitress told us since our burgers were salty. They weren’t charging us for the cappuccinos or dessert. They did the right thing the waitress service was excellent.”

“All things considered this is fairly good for a hotel restaurant. I went for dinner mid week and it wasn’t too busy. However it’s kind of open and breezy and loud since it’s like inside the hotel. Also it’s a small room so it feels a bit cramped. They did a good job with the reno, the place looks new and modern. The menu is very scant though, just a few different variations of the same entrees and drinks made from the little bottles in plastic cups.”

“I can't say enough good things about this place. We were on our way home after a lovely weekend on the Cape when we noticed the tire pressure on the dashboard going down as we watched. Google showed this was the closest gas station so we pulled into the back near the air. By then the PSI was down to 19. Given how fast the pressure went down we knew we'd never make it home, and neither of us knew how to change a tire. Ray to the rescue! Before we could even get a person on the line to AAA, he was out changing our tire for us. We wanted to pay him for his enormous help to us, but he wouldn't hear of it. Instead of having to wait hours for AAA the whole thing took less than half an hour. Ray, if you read this, thank you again so much for your great help!”

“This restaurant is not far off RT 6 and across the street from Stop and Shop. In a small plaza. It has the comfortable fell of a local bar and very good food. I got backed scallops special and my wife got the fried cod fish that was also very good. The cod fish was lightly fried. My scallops were cooked well and nice and tender. This spot is a great stop for casual good dinning.”

“We have driven by this place for many, many years and never tried it. We had a bad experience at another local place, left there and decided to give Castaways a try. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. Our main dish we were impressed with was the two dishes with scallops! Done perfectly! Nothing worse then an over cooked scallop! These were tender and amazing. I wasn't as excited about my stuffed quahog...it was over done and dry. We will be back.”

The seating is good, and you have a view of the harbor and all the boats that have docked there. The prices are fair for what you get. The menu has a good amount of choices with American and seafood like many places in the area. I would only go back to get a drink, not a meal.”

“After a long day in the sun and not feeling up to sit down or sea food and with our usual first choice too far away and likely too busy we stopped by to get two pizzas to go. The person taking our order was helpful and attentive. They have a few tables inside and a few outside. We waited outside at one of the outdoor tables with our drinks from the cooler. Once we got back and ate our pizza we found it to be quite tasty and just as good as our usual place. The baklava we got for dessert was delicious. We've added it to our mental lists to go here again.”

“Quiet possibly the best restaurant experience I have ever had. From the extremely knowledgeable bartender to the expert sushi staff. They have a great selection of saki and Japanese whiskey. Also the sushi menu has some items I have never had anywhere else. Definitely a must of you are a sushi lover. The bar area definitely a great place to sit and enjoy some great food and drinks. “Based on the reviews I expected Cape Sea to be top notch. Don’t get me wrong- it was good, but I expected GREAT! We had reservations but were asked to hang out at the bar for about 15 minutes before being seated. The restaurant was busy but had a few open tables. After 10 minutes someone took our bar order. After we were seated our waiter explained the specials and took our order. Our table-side service was very good! I ordered the whole lobster. It was good, but a little to simply seasoned for my liking. It was served topped with asparagus and diced potatoes, which was also a bit odd to me. The sauce was bland. My mom had the swordfish and said it was flavorful but not exceptional. I love an old/historic restaurant but this one is feeling a bit tired, and in need of some updating.”

“4 star food in a fast food environment. Inside is coming back from the beach accommodations and very noisy. Outside is more a play area for children than any kind of nice dining area. Literally picnic style tables. Food was very good although a bit pricey. 2 entrees and a fall special half price bottle of wine was over $80.”
