“We had a terrific and pleasantly unhurried meal here last night on the outdoor patio before catching a boat off the island. The cocktails were original and refreshing and delicious, especially one made with gin and cucumber. We gobbled up the appetizers....grilled oysters (hurray for offering this preparation) and a terrific beet salad. Entrees...striped bass, gnocchi, scallops, squidnink tagliatelle...also superb. We are only sorry we did not have time for dessert. Lovely, friendly staff...welcoming and warm without seeming overbearing. We look forward to a return visit!”

“Yummy, quaint and homely. Friendly staff and authentic dishes make for a wonderful evening alone or with larger parties. Varying levels of spiciness available for those with lower tolerance. Menu has almost too many great choices so I'd recommend looking at the menu ahead of time. For Martha's Vineyard, the prices are very affordable. Parking can be rough so be prepared to do a little walking.”

“I have visited this location twice so far and would certainly revisit again if i'm in the area. The top deck offers excellent views when the weather is right. Friendly wait staff, good food and drinks. A great place to stop by for lunch or just a drink or two. On my last visit i was able to try their fried calamari, bang bang shrimp, pan fried mozzarella and a few of their mixed drinks. Everything was great though I wish the Calamari had more going for it other than being tossed in batter and fried.”

“After visiting Martha's Vineyard more than a dozen times I felt compelled to try out the Black Dog Tavern. I went with a party of 4 late in the evening on a Saturday and was sat in the center of the restaurant near the kitchen. The interior has both a slight seaside and rustic feel though primarily rustic. Our waitress was unable to answer questions about some of the black dog products like the wine and BBQ sauce seen on the menu and made a few mistakes with the bill at the end but was otherwise pleasant. Food was prepared as described on the menu and was excellent. I am glad to have finally visited this location and would look forward to a future visit.”

Recipes are presented nice in buffett, seems traditional, but not to taste as agreed by other Brazilian nationals.Side items are room temperature and price is acceptable due to area but quality. Revise the chef please, as well food handlers. If you skimp on cost of food and handlers the the finish dish is only as good as your help!”

“Good but often crowded location. Have visited a few times over the years and have no real complaints. Its not uncommon to have your order mixed up though its really not a big deal given how many people are ordering at once and how quickly everyone is working. All in all this is a pretty good location worth visiting if you are in the area and are looking for a breakfast stop.”
