“Having lived in Maynard for only a year, this seems like just the kind of lifeblood the town needs for people to gather. A great space with a great selection of beers and wine with equally as good food! My wife and I had a great time at their opening night with very welcoming and helpful staff! The industry has suffered lately but all staff went out of the way to make sure everyone enjoyed. Also happy to see that kids are welcome and enjoying the live music! I’m am so thrilled there is a place like this just a minute away! I became a mug club member after the very first beer, cannot wait to go back for repeated visits and hopefully get to know some other locals! Highly recommend!”

“My wife and I have been here several times to both the taproom and the beer garden. I find the beer to be great and especially like the fact that they have lighter beers – not all death by IPA. The only issue I have is the music that is played in both the tap room and the beer garden. I personally find nothing relaxing or do I want to chill out to metal music. There have actually been a few times where I would’ve stayed for another beer but had to leave because the music is so annoying. I am not sure how many people find it relaxing on a Friday after work to sit down and crack open a great beer but to listen to such grating “music”.”

“My husband and I live a few blocks away and decided to try this place the other night. First off, the ambiance is super cool!! We need more like this in Maynard, it's hip, it's cozy, it's cute. The food was pretty stellar too. My husband being the critic he is mentioned that there were a few things missing from an authentic tapas experience but that's because he's from the middle east and used to travel to Barcelona frequently. I personally thought it was great, I'm a mushroom and garlic fanatic and they had the best combo dish of this! Highly recommended, go go go!”

“My absolute favorite place to stop for a quick snack, meet up with friends, or sit down and get some work done! The owners, Laura and Johnny, are knowledgable and friendly and care so much about their products and community. They are there first thing in the morning and last thing at night; you can see how dedicated they are every time you look at the artfully layered ingredients in your sandwich or taste any of their delicious baked goods. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to help me and my friends figure out which options would work best for all of our allergies or special diets. The food they offer is all scratch-made and usually locally sourced. Maynard is lucky to have such a cool spot right downtown!”

“It's all about the bread! My first visit was great. They are still in start-up mode, so their specialty grocery options are limited but they tell me it will grow with time. As for their sandwiches, I ordered an Italian and asked if they can use a baguette (afterall, an Italian sandwich needs to have a quality crusty bread to hold up to the the oil and vinegar!) They were more than accommodating. The sandwich, it was perfect. It had plenty of meat and all the right kinds, too. I will be back and looking forward to watching them develop their store.”

“The food was generally good. We just had a bunch of the small plates. I liked the fried pickles. We also had the fried avocado tacos which were very good. The espresso cookie sandwich was a great way to finish the meal. Service was slow but I think it was one person doing everything (tending bar, taking orders, running food, and bussing for the ~10 active tables). They do have an interesting beer list. I might go back for beer and tacos, but more likely would try something else nearby first.”

“Boston Bean House is a great cafe with lots of space, great cappuccino and baked goods and a good breakfast and lunch selection. They've lots of window space so it's nice and bright and it's never been crowded when I've visited. There's limited parking on the street, but it's a short walk from various Maynard parking locations. Wifi is free with good speeds on the times I've been there.”
