Bánh Mì Chị Tôi | My Sister’s Sandwich Café

Address: 1544 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02122, USA

Restaurant

“You have no idea how happy I am to have a banh mi shop open up on this side of Dorchester Ave!! The space is bright, airy and clean. There are is a table and few counter seats by the front window to sit and enjoy your meal. The sandwiches here use super fresh ingredients. The bread just shatters when you bite into it. They are very generous with their fillings. I’m usually a beef banh mi girl but my favorite sandwich here is the traditional Vietnamese cold cut. It’s packed with tasty meat and something is just extra delicious about their sandwich. The vermicelli with beef is super tasty too. Owner is nice and friendly. I have been bringing all my friends to my new favorite bahn mi shop!!”

Coco Leaf - AKoKo Cafe Dorchester

Address: 1480 Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02122, USA

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“My family loves it here. Great atmosphere and super friendly people! We try to get something new from the menu each time, and when we feel like we’ve found our go-to drink, we just keep finding a new fav one! Last time, it was their delicious avocado smoothie and this time it was the Oreo Earth drink for my daughter and the pumpkin cinnamon milk tea for me!👌🏽🤤”

Kokoda

Address: 53 Northern Ave, Boston, MA 02210, USA

Restaurant

“One of my new favorite poke places in Boston. For the past two months, Kokoda has been my go-to spot for poke bowl cravings. Although their bowls don’t have any unconventional toppings or creative sauces, they strike the perfect balance between the salad and the protein portions. Two of my favorites are the Seaport special and the Crawfish party, and I would highly recommend getting the latter if you’re looking for a protein-rich bowl.”

The Flamingo

Address: 266 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109, USA

Restaurant

“We have to come back here! And then not before a flight but until the end (open until later than most of other places in Boston) ... What else could be going on 💃 there late night when there's already such an exuberant atmosphere before 9am. Fast and super nice service, relaxed bouncers outside. Good overview, so one never runs dry but without being intrusive.”

Tenoch Mexican

Address: 3 Lewis St, Boston, MA 02109, USA

Restaurant

“We were visiting Boston and had passed many expensive Italian pasta restaurants. We just wanted a good, easy lunch for 3 adults and 3 kids. I searched Mexican restaurants near me and Tenoch Mexican popped up. A short 2 minute walk, and we arrived to a cut older, original Boston building with all its charm! It is off the expensive beaten path, but easy to get to and oh, so worth it! The gentleman behind the counter was courteous, and helpful with our selections. The food was generous and excellent! We fed everyone for under $55. (3 adults, a 13 yr old, a 9 yr old, and a 12 year old) Highly recommend!”

Empire

Address: 1 Marina Park Drive, Boston, MA 02210, USA

Restaurant

“I recommend you stop looking for somewhere to eat and head straight over to Empire. I could stop the review there, but there's a bit more to divulge. We were able to book a reservation the night before as a "just in case" measure, I think we would've been okay just popping in though. Inside the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. Partly because I was hungry, partly because I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and probably mostly because it was freaking cold outside!lol The entire experience was....pleasant. I say that in the most melodramatic possible way. Thinking about the experience it was almost like I'd eaten there 1000 times, even though it was my first. It was far above ordinary, but with extreme relaxation and comfortable pleasantness. Enough, you want to know about the food, I get it. Well, do I really need to go past the 5 Star rating above? Okay, you've twisted my arm. The food was everything you would expect from such an establishment. Preparation was super timely, presentation was appealing, and the taste delighted the palate. Check them out next time you're in the area!”

Starbucks

Address: 48a Northern Ave, Boston, MA 02210, USA

“This branch’s manager went above and beyond was cleaning the restrooms when I was trying to use. The employees were very nice. My coffee quality is as usual in Starbucks”

Miranda’s Açaí

Address: 27 Maverick Square, Boston, MA 02128, USA

Restaurant

Tia's

Address: 200 Atlantic Ave, Boston, MA 02110, USA

Restaurant

“It was okay. My mom loved the fish and chips. I had ordered the nachos with chicken and when they came out they did not have the cheese sauce or the chicken on them. Eventually got the cheese sauce after asking but never got the chicken even when I asked. Drinks were good but a bit pricy. The atmosphere was nice and it was a beautiful day out.”

The Daily Catch Waterfront

Address: 65 Atlantic Ave, Boston, MA 02110, USA

Restaurant

“Lobster dish was incredible, especially the linguine. That really sold it, the lobster was amazing and fresh and tasty, but something about the linguine that was hiding under was just so perfect! It was cooked beautifully, perfect al dente texture, and bursting with the right amounts of flavour. The fish dish was delicious, but I didn’t find anything too special about it. The greens were a bit hard to chew, so I had to eat each piece whole, a little inconvenient. But loved the garlicky taste. It was also quite a small piece for $30+, so that wasn’t the nicest thing to see. The fries are surprisingly really good, perfectly cut, crispy, not burnt, seasoned nice (a little less on the salt but that’s good since you can always add more). I wish I had tried the black pasta, that’s looks super cool. Overall food was amazing. However, the service wasn’t the most friendly. They did their job no problem, but the waiter seemed very aggressive and wasn’t the most friendly. Anytime I asked questions about a dish, he didn’t really answer with patience or with a smile. It was a bit unwelcoming to be honest, and he only softened up after we gave a generous tip (which, he should’ve been more friendly since the beginning, not because we gave him a tip). Getting the bill also took quite a bit of reminding and waiting. Service was def 3/5, but the food makes up for it. My seating area wasn’t the nicest since it was a small table for two near the kitchen, no nice window views, would’ve preferred better seating.”

State Street Provisions

Address: 255 State St, Boston, MA 02109, USA

Restaurant

“We had brunch here after my brother got married the night before. Super cool atmosphere. Very comfortable, cool design, great location. I had a burger with homemade fries and both were excellent. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Would definitely come back.”

Legal Sea Foods

Address: 255 State St, Boston, MA 02109, USA

Restaurant

“We came here for cocktails and seafood. The food was good and didn't disappoint. The cocktails were on the expensive side but well made. Between the 3 of us we tried 4 different types of oysters based on the waiter's recommendation. They were very good and fresh. The clams were good as well. Portions here are abundant. The lobster roll was huge and tasted pretty good. Fried seafood was done with a light and flavorful breading. My imperial sole dish with the breaded lump crab on top was quite delicious. Food is on the expensive side but was to be expected. Water was not refilled once although the waiter came by multiple times. It was a good dining experience overall with delicious dishes.”

LoLa Burger

Address: 11 Fan Pier Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210, USA

Restaurant

“The atmosphere was great. Great energy from the staff! Friendly good service. Clean restaurant. Good music playing as well. For appetizers we got the nachos and added shaved steak and fried pickles. The nachos looked awesome, they were good, but not the greatest, wouldn’t get them again. The fried pickles were really good when they came out hot, and the sauce was really good as well, they were a bit greasy though would probably order them again. Then we got two burgers one with fries and one with side salad. The burgers were okay, nothing to rave about, they were not juicy. The fried were Great! And the side salad was amazing so many toppings it came with!”

Serafina Seaport

Address: 11 Fan Pier Boulevard, Boston, MA 02210, USA

Restaurant

“I came at the recommendation of the Boston Dine Out, where participating restaurants offer discounted meals. I called in for a reservation but I noticed that during noon when I visited, there is no need for a reservation. There are plenty of seating available if you walk in. The server was nice and constantly checked in on us. I got a 3 course meal with kale salad as the starter, steak + fritters as an entree, and lastly tiramisu for dessert. The fritters were nicely crisp and flavored as with the kale salad. The steak portions were relatively small in comparison to the amount of fritters on the plate, so it might be a little light for anyone who eats a lot.”

Cafe Iterum

Address: 11 Father Jacobbe Rd, East Boston, MA 02128, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Delightful cafe conveniently located stones throw from the Maverick station. It's well lit and airy with friendly staff that made grabbing my takeout order efficient but unrushed. As a West Coast transplant, where coffee shops take on more then just grabbing a caffeine fix, this place is definitely tapping into a much needed vibe in being inviting enough that a laptop work session with headphones or a coffee date could both be properly enjoyed. Food was also on point. I managed to get a picture of the Kale Caesar, my dinner, and the Chilled Spicy Noodles that we reserved for my post-gym lunch the next day. Not pictured was the chewy cookie that was devoured en route home. The Caeser was bright and perfectly dressed. The noodles had a solid spice but not at all overwhelming and the mandarin and and candied walnuts where a nice balance from the spice. Still the marinated cucumbers in it might have been my favorite. Great food, good ambiance, all with sustainability in mind.”

Santa Fe Burrito Grill - East Boston

Address: 303 Sumner St, Boston, MA 02128, USA

Restaurant

“Friendly and quick service. Restaurant is clean and has a large cute mural inside. All the food options are customized by you as part of the ordering process (similar to chipotle). Tasted great and intend to be back in the future - my partner is probably going to be a $5 burrito Monday regular. Nice to have a new reliable no-fuss option in the area. Looking forward to trying their margarita!”

“The food here is hella good and a great value. There are a lot of options from breakfast sandwiches to wraps and salads. All the pastries are superb. The bread is awesome and the food is fresh. The coffee and tea are of great quality. It is also a good spot to come and get a little work done.”

Yunnan Kitchen

Address: 1721 Washington St #B, Boston, MA 02118, USA

Restaurant

“We ate here for dinner while touring Boston. This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. It was great. The food was authentic and well flavored. My wife tried the "first kiss" drink and loved it. The meals were wonderful and the wait staff took great care of us. A refreshing change from the Chinese food that I usually run across. The meals were focused on the meat and flavors with an assortment of great veggies. You had to ask for rice as an added side (got it for my picky 9 year old). The meatballs with sticky rice were a wonderful appetizer.”
