“Best seafood in town and most places! Really great fresh fish right from their market on the docks. Incredible crab and lobster roll, blackened salmon and many other fresh treats. Make it down to the end of market street, grab a table at the Old boathouse and tap, order your fish and grub, sit right next to the water and boats, great service and far from the crowds! Dave L. ( Florida to California fish lover!).”

“The fish was very good as were the fries. As this is a take on a Southern fish camp I should have expected the spicy nature of the coleslaw no dressing, just an over abundance of spices. If you like dry coleslaw, then it's okay. My husband's $10.00 martini was only 2/3's full. And they had no olives for it either.. And while the special sauces are nice, the option to get plain old tartar sauce would have been nice. There is a lot of work to be done to bring this place up to something worth going back to.”

“Cute little outdoor order at the counter spot. They all tasted great but the pesto sandwich was the winner. We sat on the waterfront nearby and watched the boats go by and the chain ferry run back and forth.”

“Christine, because I read your review, I went to Baldy's. Good BBQ is not supposed to fall apart. Nor is it supposed to fall off the bone any more than steak is supposed to fall off the bone. So because of your review I went to Baldy's. Thanks for the heads up. It was incredible! The brisket was unlike any I've ever had. Even my 20-something daughter looked at me and said, "this is way beyond anything I've ever tasted." (We found out they're using PRIME brisket.) The ribs were incredible. They did not fall off the bone. Nope, that's chain restaurant "boiled in a bag" stuff. Baldy's ribs tasted like something out of a national competition. Perfect smoke ring. Perfect texture. Wonderful taste, especially if you're a rib lover. I generally don't even like ribs. But these were nuts. The baked beans were WOW! Crazy good. And the cheesy potatoes excellent, although I agree with Christine, they could have been a little warmer. Personally, I liked Baldy's BBQ sauces, especially the cherry one, although I understand that's kind of a personal taste thing with everyone. Each to his/her own. The only problem with Baldy's is that I'm not near enough to enjoy it very often. So I find myself comparing my old BBQ place to Baldy's. But there is no comparison. So be careful. Once you try Baldy's it's hard to go back and like your old BBQ place anymore.”

“Nice little store. Although we did not try any of the juices they did look very tasty. The only reason for 4 stars was because of the chai and coffee. Both were not the best tasting. But maybe we had high hopes from a juice bar.”

“A special destination for great food! The Mac & cheese is the best. The biscuits and butter melt in your mouth a must as one of your sides with dinner! The service is wonderful, a perfect setting on the river. If you are in town make the time to stop by. They do not take reservations, so expect a wait during the summer.”

“Awesome brunch spot. California Club was the best club I've ever had. Service was exceptional. I really like the decor. Nice little garden spot out front. We'll definitely come back next time we're out here.”

“Great Bartenders for as busy as it was!! Food was delicious and the drinks cold and refreshing. Lots of tourists to talk to, and getting a feel as to where other people are coming from it's actually pretty cool to meet people from all over the world there. Saugatuck is definitely a town for travelers to visit so every time I go there it's great to meet people from other states. The bands are great the beers great and the people that work there smile which is cool even when they're under pressure.”

“We walked into Fresh Basil Cafe about seven minutes prior to closing (9pm) but the staff (perhaps the owners?) were very friendly and told us it was no problem at all to order pizzas. We ordered the Margherita for the adults and Pepperoni for the kids. Pizzas were delicious but what really stood out was the friendly service. Other menu items (including a vegan wrap) looked good too and there is a really cute outdoor seating area. We plan to return!”

“We got the Sloppy Joes and Tater Tots. Super delicious! The food and service were very good as well. However, i do suggest they get a drink menu. I feel like not having one detours people from wanting to drink. Outside seating option is also much appreciated!”

“The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was the best. Then they dropped it from the menu. ???? The owner, Michael, is always about and available to talk. ???? The server was full of fun information and very nice and helpful. ???? She even knew who owned the gigantic house across the river. ???? I miss my Philly cheesesteak.”

“Outstanding in every sense of the word. Until last night, the best steak I ever had was at Gibson's in Chicago. This was 10 times better. I had the bone-in filet and ordered it medium rare with a Pittsburgh char. It was perfection. The bone marrow appetizer was amazing the escargot were to die for. What made our experience even better was our server Melanie. WOW! If every restaurant can duplicate her, they will never get less than a 5 Star review. I am not even going to talk about their pricing because it is irrelevant. The value of our experience was worth every penny. We will be back!!”

“GROW is an excellent cafe with fantastic food and beverage offerings. The coffee is sourced locally from uncommon roasters. The lavender lemonade is a must order. Everyone greatly enjoyed the egg dishes. Although we did not try a cocktail, the menu looked promising. We will be back.”

“Staff was super friendly. Location is very convenient. And the food is much better than you would expect in a Michigan tourist destination. Portions were generous and the food spicy enough to please all members of our party (but not offend my parents' delicate palates). Not at all greasy, tasty, and reasonably priced. If you are feeling like Mexican food, drop in, and you won't be disappointed.”

“The food was excellent I recommend the salmon BLT our server was very attentive and pleasant. I love the environment and the scenery of the yachts and the Kalamazoo Lake. The environment wasn't too noisy it was a very calming. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wanted to relax and enjoy the company of a significant other or close family.”
