“I was skeptical about going to a Mexican restaurant as it's hard to find a place with authentic food that is not smothered in cheese. I'm glad we came to this restaurant. The food was beyond delicious ????. The food was fresh, tasty, not smothered in anything, just great tasting food. I was so surprised. The prices were on point. The food came out pretty quick. The food was hot, very nicely plated, and very flavorful. This is a must visit restaurant! You will love it. I will certainly return when I'm back in this area. The only criticism that I have is that the staff needs more pride in their work and ownership. The restaurant floor was very dirty and with a lot of debris, nothing that a broom couldn't fix. When we came in we were standing there for about a min until someone acknowledged our presence and when we asked the waiter what was good, he said 'everything' and didn't suggest anything. I'm glad that we didn't let these small things turn us away from great food, if fixed this restaurant would be phenomenal. I would visit again!”

“This is an alright little cafe. Nothing here to wow but it's still good food. It's important to note this use to be one of my favorite places but it has recently changed hands. The food is very similar to the previous owners but you can tell the attention to detail the food once had is no longer there.”

“New favorite restaurant to boat to! We came in for the evening to the marina and thought we might be lucky to just get a drink at 30 minutes to close on a Sunday night. The staff was great at the bar and offered us a food menu as well. The scallops were awesome and no kidding the fries were some of the best I’ve ever ever had. They never rushed us despite offering to leave and even poured us a second glass of wine. The view was just lovely at sunset and we will certainly boat back for a full dinner sometime!”

“The food was excellent. The burgers were thick and juicy. The 2 ladies who work there were not so awesome and not so friendly. I guess they were having lunch and we interrupted them. No one was in the restaurant when we get there. The lady who worked the front counter started whispering which made me feel really uncomfortable. So we decided to leave and come back about a 1/2 an hour later. When we get back they were still in the same spot so we decided to stay and eat anyway. Being a visitor in the community I felt really uncomfortable. I wouldn't go back.”

“I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. The outside is well taken care of and they have ample parking. Inside, the restaurant is clean and the decor is tasteful and unique. I visited for a late lunch and ordered a pizza to go for dinner. Everything we had was delicious ????. The menu had a nice variety of fish, seafood, soup, meat, and salad options. The food came out quickly, hot, and nicely presented. The food was so good that we returned the next morning for breakfast! Waffles, waffles, and more delicious waffles (they also had other options) it was hard to choose one. The view in the restaurant is great, big open windows with view of the lake and the lighthouse. Certainly a place to visit while in Boyne City, you will love it!”

“Always a great place to go for a quick meal in East Jordan. Fresh bread, fresh veggies and the soups are so yummy! The broccoli and cheese soup is the best! The service is great - friendly, cheerful and helpful. They will even help you make a choice if you can't decide! That's part of small town hospitality! I recommend stopping in EJ Subway for your next lunch, boat trip or picnic. Why cook when you can order something healthy and yummy?????”

“The best place to get breakfast in East Jordan. I ordered the french toast with the home style bread and it was fantastic. 3 big slices of french toast was more than enough food for me. I also stopped in for the all you can eat fish on Fridays and it was worth 5 stars as well. Nice sized fish with a light crispy fry. “1st I have never had problems with the east jordan store infact there was a time I would drive from charlevoix to east jordan because they were better anyways it been about 4-5 months that I didnt go and t past 4 times my stuff has been getting screwed it's a very small mistake but it bugs me all I ask is my bread sticks to be cooked a little bit longer and remind them 2 put the garlic butter and then put extra parmesan on the them and then I ask for an ICB no spice and add extra parmesan I dont think this is hard thing to ask of someone to do but instead I get bread sticks that are not proofed completely that are kinda mushy that r dripping wet with butter or dry and old tasting with flour on them no parmesan no butter and my icb have either spice on them or extra spice which t spice makes me sick as hell that's why I ask for just parmesan haven't had t best experience with the food lately but besides that everything is great”

Just a wonderful place to visit but ya gotta get there early because certain items can go fast. You wont be disappointed. (Unless ya show up late)”
