I was excited to try this place but found that our waiter was not very thorough and did not give much effort to explain item upgrades and menu modifications. Upgrading from chips to fries with our entree was $4 plus $0.50 for dipping sauce. Anywhere else in the world, upgrading a side with an entree would be a $2 upgrade at a maximum. Not to mention, the fries were subpar at best. Our bill for two people was $70 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 drink, and dessert. Hardly worth thy price to be perfectly honest.
I love this place. Very rustic. The entrance has huge vine plant growing on both sides. The staff is very friendly. They offer a wide selection of Ciders, try the Madagascar cider:) I was lucky enough to meet the owner, she is friendly and would be see occasionally serving the guests. Taproot is one the many and unique places that offer farm to table type meals. Everything is sourced locally.
Great food and cocktails! Really laid back spot for unique food and drink. Interior is one of a kind. Excellent service and knowledgeable bar staff. I'm not huge into cider so i was hesitant but its much more than just a cider taproom!
Cider is excellent! Servers are very helpful and are conscientious of their customers. The atmosphere is ok, it has a rugged feel for a restaurant/bar. My dish was The House Royal and I was very disappointed. The dish was very bland with little flavor. The bacon was slightly overdone but the lack of flavor shocked me. My group however really enjoyed their meal. Overall it's a great place for craft brewing and hearty meals.
This place is awesome. The service was very good. The place was clean, and they have games for anyone who wants to play so great atmosphere. I expected to be pitched a sampler, but I wasn't. Kinda wish I was actually because the only cider I tried was delicious. My wife and I had a vegan margherita pizza, and it was the best vegan pizza I've had since I converted. The cheese actually melted! If you're reading this, put your phone down and go try this place right now.
