“Being Latino and from Texas I got food from this food truck with optimism and a fair eye. The food was pricier but I was okay with paying for some good culture food to remind me of home. The proportions ended up being pretty small and the tamarind lemonade tasted like a watered down Lipton tea. At $5 for a lemonade I expected some flavor. The menu was unique and sounded delicious but after eating I feel the owner/manager is trying to rob these Michiganders blind.”

Make sure they repeat your order back to you, with the masks it can muffle your voice so they may hear something else than what you ordered (this is everywhere though). For a brand new location I have no complaints. The staff is always friendly and outgoing as well! 10/10 for this one. But they should turn the fireplace on even though people can’t sit inside, it just makes the atmosphere that much better ?”

With the city full of tourists in the summertime, at most other bars you’ll see folks in flip-flops, shorts and baseball caps – – not so much here at The Parlor. The crowd here makes an effort (you’ll see many guys in dress shirts & dockers and ladies in dresses, and they’ll drink and talk about cool things to do in TC). The drinks are crafted with care, well balanced, many with bright flavors. They use fresh herbs here, and even some locally sourced ingredients. These bartenders have skills. Not far off from what you would expect at a nice cocktail bar in Chicago, Detroit, or Toronto. Easily the best place to get a good craft cocktail in the Traverse City area.”
