“Having now visited East Fork Pasty Co. several times, I've had the pleasure of experiencing their pasties through both online-preorder and walk-up methods. The process of reserving an order online was very user-friendly, and the service has consistently been personable and efficient. The standout feature of these pasties for me has always been the perfectly crisp crust and flake that holds its shape, making it a great convenience food. The pasty not only eats well but, from my experience, I have not yet cared to add any dressing or gravy of my own. The filling, in all of their varieties of pasty, has proven to be consistently balanced and decently seasoned. Additionally, it's worth noting that East Fork Pasty Company operates exclusively on Sundays and Mondays from 12:30pm 'until-sold-out’ or 2:00pm, adding to the allure of their exceptional small-batch, handcrafted pasties. The limited opening hours contribute to the unique charm of this establishment, where the demand for their delectable products often results in quick sell-outs. This only adds to the allure and exclusivity of their fantastic offerings. I highly recommend this new pasty window shop based out of Ramona’s Bakery.”

“Honestly so happy with everything down to the ranch 🤣. I got the bbq burger with added jalapeños a side salad and my mom got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and everything was SO good. I’m from metro Detroit so to be impressed with a burger was surprising for me haha I didn’t take a photo because I inhaled it. LOL the French fries were also really good and crispy and salty. Yummy ranch. Used to go bowling here I was a kid and it’s very fun. Pricing is great. 10/10 for a quick lunch spot or afternoon fun with the family.”

“Four Suns was the most delicious place I've ever had fresh fried White Fish. The fish was mouth watering, flaky soft delicate and awesome. Down right home made. It tastes better than if you freshly caught it and fried it at the shoreline. I wish I could buy it at home. The fish is as fresh and delicious as it can be. They should train culinary schools how to train top chefs to cook fish. No one does it better. Caught the same day in Lake Superior. I can't describe in words how delicious it was. The fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce was great too. It is by far the best place I've eaten white fish in the UP and America. I'd go an hour out of my way to eat here. It's conveniently located across the street from Quincy Mine right behind the fish market. Definitely a must stop on every trip. An epic great tasting food experience!”

“Good service, good food, and in the middle of the day, the atmosphere was great since we only had 2 other people in the whole restaurant with us. Highly recommend the thimbleberry margarita. So tasty. Also would recommend the cheesecake for dessert.”

“OMG, what a find. Food is awesome, even by big city standards. Drunken Pig sandwich was excellent, as was the chicken panini. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. There were too many good choices to not try more of there offerings. Decor is eclectic and adds to the experience. Five stars for sure!”

“great pizza! Even had gluten-free option for my wife. Toppings were very generous and it excellent! Very friendly staff; just a shame to see a single table for their "dine-in" option - so we just took it back home to our VRBO. We'll certainly be back for more pizza next time we're in town!”

“Found Jim’s Pizza Calumet via Google while visiting the area. Very extensive menu with something for everyone. My party ordered carry out, and had: pizza, Philly Steak Melt, Cheeseburger, bosco sticks, cheddar nuggets, and breaded mushrooms. Everything was amazing! When we went to the restaurant it was filled with customers also enjoying their meals. Highly recommend if in the area.”

“What a terrific find in a small town in the far reaches of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's not just a hip coffee shop.. stop for a sandwich, or literally buy your fresh ground coffee right here in the shop while perusing for other treats and gifts. The decor and atmosphere is a 6/5⭐️!”

“So I’m love with this little cafe! Their menu is fresh and made to order. They have a fantastic coffee and latte menu, and a beautiful home made pastries. It is the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The cafe is cozy and bright, with lots of natural light from the big windows. I had the avocado toast, which was delicious. Their sandwich menu has something for everything.”

“Craving a pasty. My first choice was the superette but they have pasties tomorrow. Then tried Tony's but they were closed. I was out of ideas and the husband drove us to subway. Then I saw this place advertising pasties. So we went there instead. I had the best pasty ever. It was perfectly portioned and baked. I also got a 7 layered bar which was delicious and tried my husband's daily special which was really good too! All around great experience.”

“Our 1st time here today. FYI, the booths are cute, but are from the beginning of time, so choose a table for stability instead! Looked at the menu ahead of time. I had a roast beef 1/2 sandwiche with Tuscan chicken soup, and husband had country fried steak. He loved his! I loved mine was great too! Enjoy my pictures. Loved our waitress! The decor is crazy in here. Shingles on the INSIDE ceiling!”

“Calumet BK is way better than the one in Houghton. Don't get me wrong, it's BK. It's fast food, but compared to the Houghton store, the food is just better for whatever reason.”

“Very cute diner! Food and service were very good. Worth a stop. It's very busy and you may have to wait for a table, especially if you have a larger party. Lots of cool local art and historical pictures decorating the walls, and other artifacts on shelves throughout. By the way the "mini pancakes" are not mini at all, they were very big and delicious.”

“My wife and I have gotten pizza from here many times and it's quite good for being made at a gas station. I personally think it's better than a couple of local restaurants that even deliver!?!? If this Godfather's had delivery they would kill it up here. The price is reasonable and they give hearty amounts of toppings. Very much worth the short drive to pick it up in store. They did mess up a pizza of ours once, but had no issue getting another one made fresh right away. They even offered a refund. We enjoyed the new fresh, correctly made pizza very much!”

“If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. It's clean, it looks great inside, there is cool history to the building, and everything we ordered was great. I especially liked their ranch dressing. Hunter, our bartender, was fun and full of information about the place. We will be back and I would strongly encourage others to come here.”

“Went here for my wife’s birthday since they offer a free entree for birthdays with ID. She had the Combo Sub and she said it was delicious and loved the fresh sliced meat instead of the stereotypical deli meat. I had the half rack of ribs and they were phenomenal perfect kiss of smoke fall off the bone tender and perfectly seasoned bbq sauce, the fries were awesome double fried and homemade. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu”

“I have a high bar when it comes to Mexican food, so take this review as you will. The ambiance is good. Busy, noisy restaurant. At least the night we ate there. The hostess was amazing, great hugs! About a 30 min wait until we were seated, not bad. Our server was not very attentive. We saw him 4 times. When we ordered, delivered drinks and chips, delivered the meal, and delivered the check. It was busy, but he passed by our table many times. Our booth seat was like a teeter totter, We bounced every time the people in the next booth sat or shifted. The men's bathroom was falling apart, air freshener on the floor, no paper towels, and the stall lock wouldn't hold. Aside from all of that, the food was the biggest downfall. The Swiss Enchilladas had processed Swiss cheese from cellophane topping the dish, very little Verde sauce, and the filling was over salted. The Mole was very high in salt and almost inedible. The chicken nachos were good, and the salsa was good. The chori qeuso was mostly oil/grease. There aren't a lot of choices this far north, but my recommendation is to avoid this one.”

“Probably some of the best pizza I have had at a restaurant. The pizza is Detroit style with the most delicious crust and scrumptious toppings. The salads are delicious too. The staff is friendly too. I will definitely return there on my next visit to the area.”

“Place is very clean. Lots of seating for a smaller shop. They were out of brisket so we got a burger, burger bowl and a pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. All I can say is yum!!! We will be back. Highly recommended. Edit: Got the brisket plate today. WOW that was fantastic. I lived in Texas for 2 years and this beats every place down there that I went to. And I'd you like coleslaw, do yourself a favor and get it. The Granny Smith apples bring it up a new level.”

With Finnish roots and flare in the food, you'll find sweet and savory breakfast options, baked goods, and more. The service was fast and friendly and the food delivered as expected. A true "up north" diner with great people, great food, great atmosphere, and affordable prices!”

“Great "Mom and Pop" restaurant with delicious food! Best breakfast out we've had in a very, very long time!! We had the corn beef hash (came with 3!!eggs) and sourdough toast, a HUGE homestyle pancake, homemade biscuits and gravy with fluffy scrambled eggs and yummy, smokey bacon. Homey, small town vibe with friendly staff. Extra large portions, with amazing prices. Cash only, so come prepared. ATM at the local grocery just down the street (worth the extra stop for sure). Would definitely come back!”

“Went there twice in two weeks for fish fry. Perch the 1st time haddock the second time and wife had shrimp both times. Fish was good both times, ask...for a second tarter sauce. Wife's shrimp was under cooked on our second visit, my wife complained and they made her another order no hassle at all. Nice quiet place with all patrons using their inside voices. The fish is decent. Potato fries or potato wedges, coleslaw and small piece of bread come with. I think wedges cost a little more. I haven't had anything else from their menu at this point. I'd recommend Copper Mine to my friends.”

“Had some great meals here. The cheese curds are fantastic! I'm not sure what kind of pepper sauce they have at the tables but it definitely has a kick to it. Definitely on our list of places to go back to when we are in the area.”
