“Natural cut fries were AMAZING! Onion rings were great, especially when dipped in the thick, tangy ranch sauce they give you. Sandwich's were pretty tasty too.”

“We are visiting the university with our daughter. This was such a great place to eat. The food was absolutely fantastic. The owner also has board games available to use while you wait, through the wait was very reasonable. We played battleship and had such a good family time. My husband ordered the Chicago beef. He gave it 5 stars. I ordered the pita cheese beef with medium amount cheese. It was amazing. It came with this gravy for dipping and I could drink that as a soup. It was amazing good! My daughter got the personal pizza. It was Pizza Hut size but she says it was good. Our bill was $32 for all three meals and drinks. So good. We will be stopping by again.”

“Very nice place. Apple harvest salad was great and their specialty soup was good. Not busy at all when we arrived at 530 but it did get busy. Nice views too. Seems they are a little slow. Wait staff or kitchen staff idk which.”

“Everyone is super kind and sweet. I laughed when another guest said, "Did you just take a picture of your food? Now we know you aren't from around here." Haha! Victoria's Kitchen is a diner serving breakfast all day. The price is amazing and the food was filling. I had coffee and our total was $15 since the pancakes were a special. We shared the Finnish pancakes and Western omelet. The Finnish pancake reminds me of a dutch baby pancake but thicker with more custard. I really liked it especially with the berry topping. The omelet had the egg on top of the traditional stuffings, so it is not mixed together or tightly wrapped. When my friend and I travel we always get different dishes and share so we can try more things. I would suggest that and I would definitely come back to try more things!”

“What a great place — a really warm and inviting cafe. Excellent barista and OUTSTANDING coffee drinks with homemade flavoring syrups (I had the vanilla bean, and it was delicious without being cloying.) Plus they had the attached photo posted in the women’s bathroom. ”

“I actually had a pretty decent steak here. It's a 1960's Time Capsule which makes it a fun place to spend some time and drink a few beers when the weather is sour. Their gorgeous neon sign alone should get this place designated as a Michigan landmark.”

“This darling little shop is a hidden gem that you need to make a point to visit if you are in the area. I grew up in West Virginia, and I had never had pasties before. They have a large (16 oz) and small (12 oz) beef or vegetarian offering for you. My husband and I got 1 of each, cut them in half and shared. That was a warm hand full of delishness made with a whole Lotta love!! The flavors were amazing. And the crust was paper thin. How does she do it? If the little table inside is empty, sit a spell and enjoy your pasties and perhaps you'll be treated to some great conversation with the owners. They were both delightful. I especially enjoyed it when the locals stopped in to get theirs. You could tell they all loved the owners and it was reciprocated. Don't forget a cookie or 6! 😉”

“Joey’s segued and grill is absolutely the best. The food taste amazing, and the service was great. We were fortunate to be able to sit in the window. The food tasted amazing the gumbo is absolutely to die for. If I lived closer it would definitely be a weekly date night spot!”

“This was the best sushi we have had since we left Pensacola 4 years ago. Staff was friendly and this food artist- because he truly was just that an artist - was amazing. We also had the tuna seaweed salad- holy cow!! Will definitely return. Thank you guys are awesome.”

“This place has a lot of heart and offers great value for your money. A lot of dishes are homemade. I had the ravioli and it was exceptional. Everything was reasonably priced and some things are downright cheap. The atmosphere isn't the best and service was slow but good- but - for what it is I'd say it was great.”

“I got the beef burrito with the XX sauce and it was delicious. Definitely spicy if you enjoy spice, but not at all overbearing. The beef was also shredded and spiced great. “Extras” will be added to your burrito, not on the side. I was hoping the fish was going to be some local whitefish, but I’ll have to try the catfish next time. In a 5-day U.P. trip, this was my favorite spot that wasn’t a Pasty or Whitefish spot. One of the best burritos I’ve had in a long time, I highly recommend Rodeo”

“Food was hot and great! Pictured is the general chicken with steamed rice. Perfect amount of spice and sweetness. They do only accept cash or check right now so just be aware of that. Really friendly lady at the cash register :)”

“Ah yes, Domino’s biggest unknown competitor, Dominoes. For years, the unknown pizza battle between the two companies have been the best and most competitive in the pizza industry. The companies have went neck and neck in their products. For example, Domino’s has twists, Dominoes has twistes; Domino’s has pasta, Dominoes has pastae and so on. I’ve never seen anything like the fierce competition between the two companies, no one will be able to know who will win; Domino’s or Dominoes.”

“Alright food, will get the job done. Still haven't had the courage to try their country fried steak. Good variety of food, not good quality, overall quite convenient. Good staff but understaffed, and one day they had a circus theme goin on and played clown music on loop, so I especially felt bad for them.”

“Cafe melt is a classic. They also have Jalapeno ranch. Onion rings leave a lot to be desired, but the cheese curds are amazing if you can handle the bowl movements the next day.”

“We went to the mine first and then we came here to eat afterwards. They are basically a museum and restaurant combined. Tons of old mining relics throughout the building. Food was great service was great and the place was packed.”

“Restaurant is located in the Ramada Inn in Hancock. Great views of the Portage Lake Bridge from the dining room and outside seating. Very casual and cozy. Ordered the lake trout dinner and they're substitution friendly. Meal was reasonably priced but the trout was lacking something in seasonings. Service was great! I would eat here again.”

“Pizza we took togo because they don't have seating inside. And they had a concert that night in their auditorium. Multiple things going on in this place. To look at the pizza making area it doesn't look like it would be great but it was a good pizza. The guy behind the counter was interesting to talk to.”

“Went for fish fry. Had fried fish bites. I chose to have half of the bites be trout and half whitefish. Delicious! Atmosphere and service were great. I only wish they would make their own tarter sauce instead of giving you small plastic containers similar to Mc Nugget BBQ sauce. That's my only complaint. Everything else was great.”

“We loved our meal at the Den. 5 stars highly recommend. The Brussel sprouts were out of this world. My husband got the beast burger and said it was amazing. I ordered the Nordic chicken and it was perfect. Unique tasty menu and excellent service. We will be back the next time we are in Houghton.”

“Gasoline on the end of town! Nothing special to see here, other than you can pull in from multiple angles. Watch out for ATVs and snowmobiles, they like to jump off the trail and fill up here too.”

“Appetizer medley was delicious, as was the sweet and sour chicken. Sizzling Seafood was very good, but the scallops were gritty. Service was very good and extremely friendly. Atmosphere was a little dated and worn, but that did not detract from the food.”

“Stopped here for lunch and enjoyed a very tasty meal. The service was prompt, the restrooms clean, and the atmosphere welcoming. I had the Chicken sandwich with cheese, and it was amazing! My husband ordered the Nachos Grande and said it was delicious. Our daughter had the 10" Chicken Garlic pizza and said she would get it again! Coffee was fresh and hot.”

“Great food! The jalapeno poppers and the wings are a must. We've also tried the ravioli and tomato bisque, very very good. Great drinks! They have a specials menu, so good cocktails all the time, you can also go to the bar and ask for the beer on tap. Great ambience! They sometimes have live music and a lot of people gather to dance to it. It is loud, as expected from a live band, you could not talk over it, not a complaint just a heads up if you're looking for a quiet seating they do have some closed space in the back with a lot of tables, it blocks the music almost completely. It depends on the mood you're going for.”

“As a "college bar", I think this place has some of the most underrated food in town. The service is generally great and the beer is always cold! Also the deck during a nice summer day is amazing.”

“This restaurant, formerly old railroad depot, is located just off the river in downtown Houghton Michigan. We sat outside on the now porch where people use to board the train. We watched the boats and the large lift bridge opening for a large river cruise boat. My wife loved her salad. I had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The sandwich was good but I would suggest naming it something different because it wasn't made at all like a true Nashville hot. I highly recommend the onion rings. They are thicker but very crispy. Good food and great atmosphere, I'll give it a thumbs up.”

“After numerous visits since the reopening, here is my honest review; I am pretty simple with my order, Classic pep, and sometimes add in some Crazy Bread. When I tell you, this place has not missed ONCE, I mean ONCE, since re opening, I am not lying. The pizza is always hot, and cooked to perfection. Bread sticks when I’ve got them have been perfectly cooked, and lathered in butter and garlic. I cannot stress this enough, THEY DO NOT MISS. Awesome food, at an affordable price. The only thing I’m missing is the cornmeal on the bottom of the crust, but, it seems that it’s that way everywhere. The best part of it all? The atmosphere EVERY time I’ve been there. I hear at least once each time someone cheering on the team, or checking in on bystanders. Extremely impressed through and through with the pizza, and experience. Keep being awesome!”
