“Truly one of the last dive bars in Rochester. Sometimes you need a dive bar... Nice and quiet, salty but capable character behind the bar I had a great time hanging out there with my wife the other day. The Paradise Burger was one of the better burgers you can get around town. They have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to tap count which was a pleasant surprise but one has to wonder how they keep that much product moving to keep the beer fresh... Only four stars as a result...”

“I bought a Groupon for this Shogun to use while on vacation in Michigan. I had read a lot of reviews online. Most find the food to be good but sometimes the service lacking. I wasn’t sure what to expect. The hibachi chef we had was wonderful. He put on a small show for us while cooking and was smiling and talking. The 2 waitresses and hostess we had were all prompt and friendly. There was another group of people at a different hibachi grill. I was glad we didn’t sit there. The young chef was not talkative nor did he interact with his guest. I don’t think I heard him say anything the entire time he was cooking. Nor did he ever smile. So we had a great time, the portions were large and tasted great. But the other table probably didn’t feel the same. Bottom line, foods great and service is great if you get the right hibachi chef.”

I've been back several times a week since just to buy slices for lunch or dinner. Just not Mr. B's no onion blossom. Anyway not a bad experience, the flavors was there everything was nice. No compliants far as the food or wait staff goes. Just not Mr. B's. Must say I did like reading about the owner and his commitment to loyalty and customers. How if your a regular they take pride in knowing your drink when you walk through the door. “The food was good though not as good as the one other time I've been. They claim everything is made from scratch, and while this could be true, I was served aroncini that we're still frozen in the middle. They did remove that item from the bill at least. The service was good enough. Our server was kind and engaging but was the only one in our section. When we first arrived there seemed to be one server working while 2-3 others stood around. The wait at the door got to the point where a customer at the bar (actually the manager on the day off)sat us. Overall, I think there are better Italian places with fewer problems. Wouldn't recommend.”
