“I was a regular when I lived on that side of town. Now I live 45 minutes away and today I made the drive to have Sunday brunch with my lifelong friend. First, the coffee and food are amazing. “This was our first visit. I ordered Hand Battered Icelandic Cod with fries and coleslaw. The fish and fries were very good. I didn't care for the coleslaw, but I think it's just personal preference. I like slaw that is sweet. This wasn't and you could actually taste the cabbage. Some people might like that better. My husband had French Dip with sweet potato fries. No complaints. In addition to the standard menu, they have a breakfast menu Monday-Saturday from 10am to 3pm. On Sunday they have a bunch/breakfast buffet, but also options for lunch or dinner. And a full bar for those interested. I should also mention they have a covered but open outdoor patio that overlooks a lake.”

“After eating at their original location regularly for over 8 years, we decided to try their newly opened locale. I ordered the Tamarind Margarita.... no tamarind, so I got a (very tasty) Mojito instead. Tamales were good, a little small, but moist and flavorful. The kicker of the evening was: when the server took my credit card, she came back to tell me that they would charge me 4% for using a credit or debit card. Legal in the State of Michigan, but I HAVE NEVER BEEN CHARGED THAT IN A RESTAURANT SINCE THE AG APPROVED IT IN 2013. Needless to say I was a bit livid that the restaurant would charge me THEIR credit card processing fee for a $50 dinner for 2. I had the cash, left a nice tip, and vowed not to go back until they amend their 4% add-on. I manage a restaurant, it's the price of doing business. Up your menu items by 4%, but please do not surprise your customers at check out. Just because you "can", doesn't mean you "should".”

“Fell into the hype. If you want dry overcooked burgers and undercooked, way to thick French fries with a soda machine that will make you feel dumb. ... Look no further, this place sucks and i would rather go to McDonald's. You can go to The Root and get a phenomenal burger cooked to temp the way you want it and beer for a few dollars more. Take the 5 mile drive there rather than spend your hard earned money on a business with a staff that doesn't care about the product they put out.”

“I've been to seafood boils in Detroit, Knoxville, Seattle, Atlanta, and New Orleans, and this place might have been the most delicious one I've had!! Got cajun mild for crab, mussels, shrimp, corn and potatoes, added some sausage and fries. Everything was so good, you gotta try it. Cheaper than an American place.
