“Came for lunch as we were already in Lowertown. Breakfast is served until 2 but I got the Black and Blue Burger with fries from the lunch menu. The fries were good but weren't hot enough and the burger was delicious but $14 was a lot for it. Lots of tables, booths, and a counter with espresso options and alcoholic drinks. Would love to come back on a night when there is music. Metered parking in front.”

“Another superb dining experience at Just/Us. The chefs have a gift for bringing their imagination to bear on familiar fare in a way that always stretches my taste buds in the most delightful ways. Today's grilled cheese was dairy-divine: crunchy sourdough cradling gooey brie, spinach leaves, and pear slices. Prices are fair: they balance the quality of the food and the labor and my hard-earned money. The ambiance is open and relaxed. I've been here on a bustling evening and (as today) a lazy Saturday afternoon. Thanks to the high ceiling and uncrowded floor space it feels intimate either way. I appreciate the "no tip"/just wage philosophy that treats everyone on staff as a valued member of the team (the 18% service charge is split across all staff to ensure everyone is making a livable wage). The waitstaff are friendly and attentive in a soulful way: as though they really share the restaurant's vision of "delicious food made for the common good." Wendell Berry wrote that "conviviality is healing," and it's true. You won't find it listed on the menu at Just/Us, but thanks to the vision of the chef/owners, the casual cheer of the waitstaff, and the savory taste of the food ... conviviality is on every plate served. I'll be back ... again!”

“This is the most amazing Caribou location I have ever experienced. 1. The Staff is very friendly polite and up beat 2. The Staff works in harmony, very efficient, and fast paced 3. The Manager, is always in the mix working side by side with the team 4. The Manager has a great eye for talent, the new employees are able to get them up to speed in a heartbeat. Great process To provide context, I manage large businesses with 50 plus employees in multiple locations. So to see how this one location operated, make me rethink my hiring strategies. How can I hire more people like them…? Anyway, great job!”

“Nice hang out, close to the capitol. We stopped in here after a wonderful event at our government buildings. It is grungy and gritty, but real.”

“Lots of great reasons to come here - easy to order, pleasant location, lots of natural light, and plenty of pizza options, including single slices. Crust is thin and crunchy, just how I like it. I prefer New York thin, where there is an equal amount of mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. Big River is more like St. Louis-Style pizza, where there is a higher proportion of cheese compared to tomato sauce.”

“My husband and I had an excellent time here. The staff are tremendously hospitable and well trained. The food was fresh and delicious! We love the variety of seafood and how it was prepared. I personally loved the seaweed garnishes, I think they have a big impact to the freshness of the dish and they are delicious! We are really satisfied with our food and the pricing. The weekly special was reasonably priced and offer a great wide range of raw, cooked, and different culture cuisines.”

“This place is the gift that keeps on giving. The menu changes always bring great new dishes to try while the staples remain. You won’t eat a bigger cheeseburger anywhere else. Their drinks are perfectly crafted. The staff is always gracious and the owners are great people. Highly recommend this spot for dinner or brunch. Don’t leave without ordering flapjacks for dessert”

“I celebrated my nomination today in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a fine evening and the venue was evidently one of the reasons for this successful meeting. The team contributed in a pleasant way, the meals were tasty and my guests were so happy. We shall definitely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.”

“The burger is great and the match stick fries are very good. We also liked the fried Brussels sprouts (they are very deep fried!). My wife really liked the hazy IPA and I would recommend the Munich Dunkel if you are a malty dark beer fan like me. I also had a coffee golden ale - it was pretty good. Our server was great - the fries were a little under cooked and she brought them back done perfectly. If you’re in Lowertown St Paul looking for a beer and a burger, I recommend Birches!”

“It was okay. We went for a quick bite and drink during happy hour. The fresh spring rolls were good. We also order the deep fried calamari, but I didnt like it. The meat just slides out of the breading. I would've liked it breaded and seasoned differently coming from a Thai restaurant. Service was good. $4 happy hour appetizers.”

“Cool bar right in the middle of downtown St paul . We stopped in for a couple drinks and some appetizers. The list of draft beer available is impressive. Probably 30 plus offerings and the majority are local craft beers . They have some games and pool tables available in the back as well . Would definitely go back here if in the area”

“I can really only speak to their breakfast, since it's so amazing that I never need to venture deeper into the menu. Their pancakes and French toast are incredible! Love the almond-flavored cinnamon roll as well. The coffee and tea are ho-hum, typical diner quality. Nice atmosphere and less crowded here than their other locations.”

“Great service every time, whether it’s from the servers or the bartenders. Great food every time, too. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a fun, tasty, and healthier option to traditional pizza. They also now have a full bar. The only flaw is the Sicilian pizza. It’s just an expensive cheese pizza.”

“very quiet evening,a well dress friendly male host greet us as soon as we open the door. Very pretty roomy restaurant would be good for party. The spicy salsa under the grilled are delicious with seafoods. Steaks are medium well as what they respected. Dessert just alright through.”

“We visited here twice on weekend of 8/9/19. Once on a Friday and on a Sunday. I can say on a Sunday, best place to go downtown. We went through several different places, and this one was the place to be. We enjoyed to food, atmosphere and wait staff.”

“Roof top is amazing! It was seat yourself at the time which made it hard to get service. We moved to the bar and were immediately helped! Food and drinks were good. There was a DJ which was a nice surprise! Good time!”
