“My wife and I were pretty excited checking this place out. We invited a few friends to join as well. We started off with this seafood tower and it was pretty good. Also the Korean pork belly is a good appetizer. When it got to my entree which was their catch of the day, it looked pretty sad. At least my wife’s dish looked better but her hen was slightly overcooked. For the price that I paid for my entree, I was expecting much more food. Their cocktails were pretty good here. I enjoy the atmosphere, there’s a nice bar/lounge area that you can hang out. Overall, it was a little disappointing. I will have to give this place another chance, another time.”

“My husband has been here twice and I've been once, and we are very impressed with the food. There's indoor and outdoor seating, on two levels, I believe, and the outdoor is right on the beach. It's got a fun atmosphere and a lot of good southern options on the menu. We have particularly enjoyed the dishes with Monica sauce, and my husband says the caramel cheesecake is the bomb. The shrimp grits were good too - and I was super interested in trying alligator (they had several items with gator on the menu). Not a bad price for good seafood either. Would definitely go again!”

“We enjoyed the food and the wonderful view if the Gulf. The Burgers hit the spot and tasted fresh. The ? fries were tasty and not mushy. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, I was grateful since my waitress disappeared shortly after taking my order. She didn't return until long after we finished our meal, if the bartender did not help out and we were not in a rush I would be ? upset. We did enjoy the meal and a walk on the beach. I hope to return soon to give it another shot and get better service, I really wanted to try some shrimp but I didn't have a waitress to take the order.”

“Came it got seated quick we had a party of 11. We also went at a time that wasn't busy so that helped. Drinks and food came out relatively fast. The service was good. Waitress came around and asked if we needed everything in a timely manner. If you get to the back of the restaurant you can sit facing the water which is nice as well. The food is good is it slap ya momma good ehhh not quite. Still a good spot to try out for BBQ.”

“Good atmosphere that was nicely doctorated. The food was good. Pretty standard from my standpoint. The menu had a lot of items on it to choose from, so there's something for everyone. It was nice that we were able to get right in to eat here where some of the other places around were a half an hour to an hour wait for our large group. It was also very close to parking for beach access.”

I am from mobile, Al and have went crabbing in mobile bay since I could walk, cooking soft shell crab the way Chef Tracy did is an art form! The sea bass was perfection I can't remember the chef's name. Even the fries with our appetizer were like no other! Tibby our bartender at BlU was THE bestest I can't wait until the next time we come back for the same experience!”

“Stopped for dinner while traveling. Atmosphere was not great. Waitress was nice, but forgetful. Chips and salsa weren’t good; chips tasted burnt and salsa wasn’t very flavorful. Street tacos were good, as were the taco salads. My husband didn’t like his chili relleno. The kids meals were really cheap and generous. Prices all around were great! They do offer a military discount after 3, which is much appreciated.”
