“Finally! We are delighted to see this location finally open in Ozark. This is the third restaurant of the same name in the 417 area, with sister locations in Nixa and Springfield, with the Nixa location amassing a long-time loyal following. We were greeted and served by a pleasant and attentive gentleman named Rueben. We sat in the cozy bar section, where the seating is unassigned, and you can sit where you please. For those who remember the bar from Buckingham's, they did an excellent job of preserving it while adding their unique theme to this section of the restaurant. For starters, they served us complimentary chips and cantina-style salsa. The Chips were crispy and not soggy, and the salsa was flavorful with a good balance of vegetables and spice. The 16oz frozen strawberry margarita was exceptional value at $6.50, and it was perfectly blended with a generous but not overpowering amount of tequila. We ordered a couple of crunchy taco shells with a combination of beef and shredded chicken, which came with rice and beans. The tacos had a nice crunch, and the shredded chicken was cooked to perfection, with a nice balance of cheese and lettuce. The beef version was equally as good. We also ordered a taco salad bowl with shredded chicken, fresh pico, lettuce, guacamole, and cheese. All the food was well balanced, with generous portions that went down easy. The rice was light and fluffy, and the main dishes were not oversaturated or soggy from drowning in oils or sauces. What makes this location stand out? I always appreciated this venue when it was a Buckingham's. Thankfully, it is now occupied by an established local Mexican chain that offers friendly, attentive service at a fair price in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. In case you are wondering. The restaurant's opening was delayed because they could not find enough quality workers. Most of their staff rotate between the other locations, so you may see some familiar faces!”

“Man, the bad reviews, from our experience, are not warranted. However, I do know that when restaurants open, especially like this one, standards are high. That being said, they were met with flying colors for us. We couldn’t get a table, so decided to sit at the bar, and probably will do that moving forward because the service was astounding and the questions we asked about the food, drinks and the the history of the farm were met with an exciting eagerness, and went far above and beyond expectations. The atmosphere is incredible as to be expected with a Morris establishment. The drinks were great and the food was absolutely delicious. I could be hypercritical, and say that the skin on my duck was not as crispy as it probably should have been, or that the giant scallop was just a tad undercooked, but that would be unfair because the experience and food were all in all, incredible. This will be our go to when we have out of town guests, period, end of story. If you want to have a special experience and entertain anyone, for whatever occasion, for whatever reason, I’m not sure you’re going to find a better venue in Springfield or surrounding. Suggested would be an understatement, Bravo 🙌”

“I am normally skeptical of ordering grouper in the Midwest. I normally just eat it when I am in Florida, but I am really glad I ordered the Skipper! The grouper and sautéed shrimp was on point. The rice and mixed vegetables were good too, but the seafood stole the show. My wife enjoyed her chicken nachos, and my son’s burnt ends mac & cheese was very good. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back!”

“First time visiting Sol De Mexico and I am very pleased. The food was tasty, service was quick and attentive and prices were fair considering inflation. I got the Cabo Enchilada plate for under $12.50 and enjoyed it very much. The only thing I think would be better is if they served filtered water. Overall, I give it 4.5 stars and will definitely be going back!”

“We cannot get enough of Oscar’s. The Smoked Bacon Wrapper Jalepeno Poppers are AMAZING. The potato salad is always fresh and so flavorful. The pulled pork sandwiches are always so tender and a wonderful smoked flavor. I cannot say enough good things about this food. The small pulled pork sandwiches are a great portion and will leave you full! The poppers are more of a splurge for us as we don’t normally buy things to go with our sandwiches, but now I can’t go there without at least one! Yum, yum, yum. Great customer service. I highly recommend giving them a try.”
