I want to applaud the owners, chef and staff at this newer venue in Omaha. They opened a couple months into the pandemic and it appears their conviction to providing a detailed and delicious dining experience has not been interrupted. The food was delicious and full of flavor. Great presentation. Our waitress Sophie was knowledgeable about the meal options and we enjoyed all of her recommendations. There was a dinner party going on inside the restaurant while we were there so there was a touch too much noise but wine tends to make people laugh so it is to be expected. What really stuck out besides the quality and presentation of the food, was the friendliness, attention to detail from the wait staff as well as their appearance and attire. This is def a 5 star for omaha….location is funky but well worth the drive. Also wish they had more vegetarian forward options. They did accommodate with off menu options however.
We were visiting from out of state and could not have been more lucky to discover this gem of a restaurant. The service was great. (Thanks to our server Noel for giving great suggestions.) The food was prepared to perfection. If we lived nearby, this would be a frequent destination.
The staff was very nice to allow us to taste wines by the glass to see what I would like to buy a glass/bottle of, however the first 2 reds I got were brown in tint instead of red in color and tasted off, the white I tasted the color was fine but tasted off like it was oxidized as well. We were told there were no others that they would recommend that they had a taster of, so we ordered a red and white blindly and they tasted great. Makes me think they should have a better wine by the glass program. If you’re buying a bottle I’m sure it is fine, but if you buy by the glass makes you wonder how long it’s been sitting there. I was referred to this place because of the wine and food experience which I did not receive like I thought I would. Lamb with fig jam was delicious, seafood pasta was good, bruschetta, tuna were okay, and I personally did not like the crab cakes, texture of shredded tuna, the beignets we got we later found out we’re missing the berry compote as well so I left disappointed and my husband was frustrated he took me here for my birthday dinner. If I go to a restaurant it’s for the combination of wine and food experience so if one or both are off i would personally not return.
A great wine menu with foreign bottles. I am a fairly novice wine drinker, however, got a lot of help from their wine expert and learned a lot about tasting notes, grapes, and my own preferences. Come for the good food and wine, stay for the good company! We will be back.
