This is probably the only restaurant review that I'll ever write. The pizza is the best I have ever had in my life. The crust is insanely good. The sauce is a bit sweet but just fits. The cheese and toppings always seem very fresh and just the right amount. Pitch and Noli's are probably the only ones that gets close to this good, but they are completely different types of pizza, much thinner crust and more expensive. The Drover for whisky steak and Davlo for pizza are the two places I take guests from out of town.
The staff there are kind and the food is incredible! You can taste that it's made from scratch with extremely fresh ingredients. Also, the bar is fully stocked with some of the best beverages in town. Although everything has been delicious, my favorite is the deep dish Spicy Hawaiian accompanied by Virgil's rootbeer. ????????
The place was good, with hot Chicago style pizza and good service. Unfortunately the toppings were uneven and a little light on cheese. There was plenty of pineapple on one of the pizzas but it maybe needed a bit more chicken. The stand out was the sauce; plenty of flavor tomato goodness. What makes Davlo work is the family. It not only is like a big family it seems most of them are! They are very helpful and great to talk to. If they adjust the food a bit, this would be a great place.
Really enjoyed the gluten-free spicy Hawaiian pizza. It's on the larger size of gf pizzas that I've ever seen, reasonably priced, and delicious. Also if you like hard cider, try the Scrumpy. It's tasty AND served in the cutest glass ????????service was fast & friendly. I was pleasantly surprised as it's a bit off the beaten path, but it was definitely worth the trip.
Walking in the restaurant was clean with a calm vibe to it. We were attended to and seated immediately. Server was attentive and kept our drinks full. We had the chicken wings, thin crust pepperoni, and Chicago style meat eater pie. WOW, food was amazing. Ingredients were fresh and flavor was outta this world! Definitely recommended, can't wait to go back!
